This document discusses protective factors against substance abuse. It is divided into several sections: 1. Objectives which are to discuss protective factors, create a presentation on them, and discuss the value of self-worth. 2. An activity where students are divided into groups to discuss different protective factors like self-control, family relationships, peer influences, and community support. 3. A second activity where groups role play, sing, write poetry or make posters about their assigned protective factor. 4. An evaluation where students identify risk and protective factors in different domains of life. 5. An assignment asking students to reflect on how protective factors prevent drug use and cite a personal example.

front ofthe class guided by questions given by the teacher;

(Group 3) Peers and friends – a. Association with peers and friends who do
not use gateway drugs

 b. Each group shall do the following assigned task which should be relevant
to the topic assigned to the group in activity no. 1;

c. Each group is given 10 minutes to accomplish the assigned tasked.
 d. Each group is graded according to the following criteria;
creativity- 10 points
relevance- 10 points
cooperation- 10 point
