Don Tapscott and Anthony Williams authored the 2006 book "Wikinomics" which brought together cultural studies and economics by exploring how web 2.0 technologies enabled new forms of media distribution, consumption, and exchange through mass collaboration. The book argued that these peer-production processes were changing business models and the nature of human behavior and interaction on a global scale. Both Tapscott and Williams are recognized as leading authorities on collaborative innovation and the economic and social impacts of emerging technologies.
