What i expected my school magazine to in cooperate and how well i think i did and will do for my music magazine.

1. For the preliminary task we were asked to make a school magazine front cover and contents page
using Photoshop.
My first idea was to call the magazine ‘Pressing News as it included the first four letters of Preston
Manor and it adhered to the importance of school magazines – providing news. I felt it important to
include the main image of the head girl on the front cover and tie in shades of blue for the
background as its the well known and represents the school well.
(How I wanted it to look)
I wanted my work to look professional a like many music magazines that I have bought before and it
is a priority for me to have neat, concise and coherent work that would improve the standards of
previous music magazines.
(What I think I’ll learn)
From this preliminary task I hope to learn how to use Photoshop effectively and to improve my skills
on Photoshop. I also hope to make my music magazine look as realistic as possible that would appeal
to the average Preston manor student and with the skills that I learnt from the preliminary task i
hope to create a foundation for my music magazine so that its appeals to my target audience with
the attraction of high quality through my improved use of Photoshop.
(How I think it’s going to go)
I think that it will go smoothly and i doubt that i will come across any major technical difficulties, as I
have had a little experience with Photoshop however I am always learning new techniques in
Photoshop to improve the overall quality of my work and so at the moment I am quite confident.
