A Medical And Moral Look At Ectopic Pregnancy Essays
The complexity of the human reproductive system is unbelievable baffling. The fact that the egg even
leaves the protection of the ovary and starts its journey down the fallopian tube is remarkable. The
process by which the sperm manage to scurry their way to meet the egg through the hostile
environment of a woman s body isanother great accomplishment of the human body. The fact that, in
the majority of cases, the egg and sperm meet, join, and find their way into the uterus and set up the
beginning of a new little life is one of the most perplexing facts of medical science. The treacherous
path is sometimes uncompleted, however. When this is the case the parents are face with one of the
more serious, and potentially deadly conditions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Testing and diagnosing an ectopic pregnancy is actually difficult, because an answer to the problem is
not always clear cut, nor is it always available right away. The hCG levels in the woman s body may
be tested to check the rate of increase in them over the pregnancy. They normally double about every
two days in anormal pregnancy. But this alone is not a conclusive indicator of an ectopic pregnancy.
An ultrasound is frequently used, along with vaginal ultrasound to try to visualize the pregnancy and
the position of the baby. If a uterine (normal) pregnancy is confirmed then the chance of an ectopic
pregnancy is extremely rare. Sometimes it is too early to diagnose an ectopic via ultrasound, and the
exam has to be repeated. If the ectopic pregnancy is visualized, on the other hand, then the couple will
proceed to treatment options available depending on their situation.
Sometimes in urgent situations a laparoscopy procedure will be done to provide both the diagnosis and
the treatment. This is done in an operating room as a surgery. If the patient does have an ectopic, the
procedure is surgically treated at that time.
The two main types of treatment are chemical and surgical. Chemical treatment is done with a drug
called methotrexate. It is used to literally dissolve the pregnancy in non urgent

The Relationship Between Warm Colors and Positive Mood
This research is important because every day we have to make choices that include choosing a color
when for example we decide what shade of makeup to use, what color of clothes to buy or decide
what color to paint a wall. Even it has been proved that people often associate their mood with a
specific color. Some frequently responses when a person is feeling sad is to describe it as feeling blue
or when a person fall in love is common to hear that now this person view the world through rose
colored glasses. Other frequently expressions are to describe a person s jealousy as to be green with
envy, or describe a child s innocence as to be pure as the snow . The purpose of this study is to
examine the effect of color with mood using a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Author David Simmons studied color effects more generally in his book, Color and emotion: New
directions in color studies. Simmons conducted a lot of experiments trying to prove that color can
enhance positive moods. In one of his experiments he asked 56 undergraduate psychology students to
paint a white wall with a color that made them to feel positive. The results indicated that yellow,
orange and red were picked as the most positive color of the 9 color samples in total.
Jacob and Suess (1975) disagree with the general theory that warm colors are more appealing and tend
to enhance positive mood. They found that participants shown a more positive mood towards cool
colors rather than warm colors. In his article, Effects of four psychological primary colors on anxiety
state; Perceptual and motor skills, states that previous studies may have overlooked the effects of
colors on standard pencil and paper measures of anxiety. He investigated the effects of primary colors
such as: red, yellow, blue and green and the level of anxiety of the participants. The researcher
administered the state scale of the State Trait Anxiety Inventory to 40 participants. After reviewing the
results he found that colors red and yellow were associated with high levels of anxiety by the
participants. On the other hand, color green was described as calming and associated with low levels
of anxiety by the participants.

How Does Christianity Affect Australia
The practises, beliefs and values of Christianity and Islam have an impact on Australia society;
however, the media exploits the perceived tension between the two groups which has led to
discrimination and violence. Over many years the way of which an individual lives their life has been
shown to be affected by the religion of which they follow. This affects the way of life throughout the
community surrounding these people, as well as having an impact on the social issues throughout this
particular community. Christianity has a huge impact throughout Australia, this includes through
schools, dress codes, the way of which people live in their day to day lives. Christianity has always

This defining change in the education system over the last 20 years, has been due to the modification
of the Christian schools throughout Australia (ABC, 2010). This has an influence on the culture of
Australia as it means that this percentage of students have a background of which religion was
required throughout their life, therefore the students learn Christian morals and values. This may
shape the way they live their adult lives in terms of who they vote for, and how they spend their
money as well as the fact that it means that they know the background of Christianity, having an
impact on them and society. Christianity also has a major effect on the laws throughout Australia, for
example a variety of laws have been made in relation to the Ten Commandments. Similarities are
found between the commandments which state that one should not kill, steal or bear false witness, and
the laws written about them. The parliament of Australia is majorly influenced by Christianity as the
original government was made up of the English settlers who all had a Church of England or Christian
background. This then shaped parliament into having a Christian background. Parliament is also
affected depending on the faith of the leader, for example we have had five Christian Prime Ministers,
John Howard being one of them. Howard quoted in

Le Grande Quai Analysis

Le Havre: Le Grande Quai
The work I choose was Le Havre: Le Grande Quai, by Maurice de Vlaminck. The artwork was created
in 1906 during the Modern Architecture era and the Expressionist Movement (Saint Louis Art
Museum). The painting was created on location at the port of Le Havre in northwestern France
(Maurice De Vlaminck). The artwork was created on a medium of oil on canvas, utilizing the primary
colors along with white for contrast. Scaling of the work is proportional or close to true to life, there is
nothing that appears to be prominent or grander in scale. This is similar in scale to what you would see
if someone had taken a photo of the port.
The work has traveled quite a bit during its lifespan. After production it was acquired by Ambroise
Vollard in 1910. From there it ended up in a few different galleries and individual s hands, including
Vollard once more. In 1956 the artwork was acquired by Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur D. May. One year later
it was gifted by the Mays to the St. Louis Art Museum. The artwork has been there ever since (Saint
Louis Art Museum). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

they aren t so selective as the high selective colleges. Being decided and studying hard, I think I ll be
able to enter in a good college. Every person fits with a type of college based on their capacity. It is
not wrong to say that highly selective colleges are for genius, so I think I m able to enter in a selective

FRIENDSHIP
According to Webster s dictionary, the state of being friends or the quality of being friendly is defined
as friendship and a person whom one knows, likes, trusts, and fond of is defined as a friend .
Friendship is a state of relationship which can be only experienced but cannot be expressed. Loyalty,
faithfulness, honesty, respect, and equality are the true characteristics of a trust worthy friend. This
lays the foundation for a long lasting relationship. It has no barriers or discriminations of gender, age,

6. The gradient across the membrane represents potential energy because the gradient plays a major
role of triggering whether diffusion is needed or not, and diffusion is after all, fueled by energy. For
example, if there is an imbalance in the cell and the cell environment, then the concentration gradient
has the potential to trigger diffusion (energy change because of moving molecules) to occur and create
an equilibrium state.
7. Osmosis is the process in which water diffuses across a selectively permeable membrane. The three

Four ways that large molecules and substances are transported across a membrane include
phagocytosis, pinocytosis, receptor mediated endocytosis and receptor proteins. During phagocytosis,
the cell engulfs a particle by wrapping pseudopodia around the particle and packing the particle within
the food vacuole (membranous sac). Once the food vacuole integrates with a lysosome (w/ hydrolytic
enzyme), the particle will be digested. The second way is pinocytosis, in which the cell takes in
droplets of extracellular fluid and packs it into tiny vesicles; after this, the tiny vesicles are then
transported into the cell because the molecules dissolved in the droplets are the main factors that the
cells need. The third process is known as receptor mediated endocytosis which the cells takes in large
quantities of specific substances of all concentration in the Extracellular (EC) fluid; the membranes of
the cell vesicle are embedded with proteins that has certain receptor sites that are exposed to the EC
fluid in which ligand binds to. Then, the last step is that the receptor proteins cluster in regions of the
membrane known as coated pits which contain fuzzy layer of coat proteins on the exterior; then, each
coated pit forms a vesicle which contains the ligand molecules and after the ingested material is
released from the vesicle, the vesicles then recycle the receptors to the plasma

individuals who possess a lot of authority often take advantage of it, which is agreeable and can be

police force and military that had authority in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina took advantage of
their power and wrongfully arrested many people left in the city. On Tuesday September 6th, Zeitoun,

and military uniforms who all had M 16s and pistols, at least ten guns were visible to Zeitoun and the
others. The police and military men forced Zeitoun and the others into their fan boat where they were

Galapagos Essay
Kurt Vonnegut s Galapagos was written one million years ahead of the year 1986 AD. In this book,
Vonnegut argues that the ultimate effect of humanity s sociological problems with technology is that
man s intelligence will be the downfall and destruction of the human race. The essential point made by
Vonnegut in this work is that the quot;great big brains quot; of humanity drives people to go further
into technology and create new weapons that will lead to the demolition of man kind; Vonnegut
disagreed against virtually every technological development (made by big brains ).

Vonnegut s cast of unlikely Adams and Eves setting out on an evolutionary journey includes Mary
Hepburn, an American biology teacher and recent widow; Zenji Hiroguchi, a Japanese computer

computer does); his wife, Hisako, carrying radiated genes from the atomic bombs; James Wait, who
has made a fortune marrying elderly women; and Captain Aolph von Kleist, the Captain of the Bahia

mothers of the fisher folk after a bacteria determined all other women infertile. This small group of

I agree with Kurt Vonnegut s argument that all mankind have these Big Brains because the focus of
society today is to have the latest technology to gain more power . Our big brains are no longer in
survival mode as it was with our ancestors. Today, our big brains follow what the media and
government deems necessary, be it in commercials, movies, radio, and music that constantly surrounds

unconsciously, and subconsciously in various decision making processes

Factors of the Jewish Dispersion
The destination of the Jewish dispersion varied especially based on the occupations of the Jews. The
actual Diaspora really took place when thousands of Hebrew elites and craftsmen were deported and
dispersed to Babylon. This occurred to concentrate the various skills of the Jewish in separate arenas
and to use these individually skilled communities for the benefit of the Babylonians. For example, as
previously mentioned the most skilled and elite Jews were dispersed to Babylon the heart of the
Babylonian empire. Thus, the better trained and more adept a Jew was, the more opportunity the Jew
had to serve for empire in higher ranks solely to meet the needs of the empire and its rulers. This
helped the empires exiling the Jews to prosper, but unfortunately created rifts and gaps within the
Hebrew community. This pattern of dispersion, which was developed by the Babylonians and used by
the Romans to scatter the Jews, allowed for these dominant empires to prosper, however, limited the
interaction within the Hebrew community and resulted in the diminishing originality and novelty of
the skilled Jews. Despite the use of the uniform dispersion pattern based on the occupations of the
Jews, the reason why Jews were exiled and dispersed varied depending on the imposing empire of the
time, which performed these actions. The Hebrew Diaspora was caused by different factors depending
on the group exiling the Hebrews. In other words, the reason for dispersing the Hebrews depended on

3i. Sustainability and Continuation
The increasing financial strength of the Alliance will enable us to sustain CAIRN beyond the initial
grant period. Over the past five years, our revenues have grown by $x through intentional cultivation
of individual donors, congregational partners and foundation partners.
Future Funding Plan
In 2017 the Alliance received support from four foundations: the Forum for Theological Exploration
in Atlanta, the Eula Mae and John Baugh Foundation in San Antonio, the Richard D. Huff Foundation
in Houston, and the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation in Philadelphia. We believe there
is a strong potential for renewed support from these partners.

Examples Of Supernatural Elements In The Crucible
Supernatural Elements in The Crucible by Arthur Miller
Superstitions:
Superstitions is the belief in the supernatural element, that one event causes another without any
natural process linking the two events. Superstitions are linked to religion and its aspects like omen,
prophecies and witchcraft. These superstition beliefs are mainly applied to beliefs and practices
surrounding luck, certain spiritual beings or the unknown force of the Almighty. Superstitions
probably have been present among us from the beginning of time, passed on from generation to
generation, culturally transmitted and shared for centuries. These superstitious rituals and activities
can have a positive or a negative impact on one s life hence, may influence ones behaviour ... Show

This hysteria replaces any logical explanation and enables people to believe in absurd ideas and
thoughts, such as the neighbours that live next to them are committing absurd and unbelievable crimes
communing with the devil, killing babies etc. Arthur Miller in The Crucible shows how the townsfolk,
easily accept and become a part of the hysterical climate not only out of genuine religious piety but
also because it gives them a chance to express their repressed sentiments and act on long held grudges.
Not only did this hysteria allow the townsfolk to act upon their grudges, they also used this as an
opportunity to gain power, to become empowered. As in The Crucible, a few characters seem to gain
power due to the episode of the witch trials who were previously marginalised in the society of Salem.
In general, the women occupy the lowest position in the male dominated society and have very few
options in life. In addition to being restricted, they work as servants for other townsfolk until they are
old enough to get married and have children of their own. Abigail Williams, a seventeen year old girl,
niece of Reverend Parris. She worked for the Proctor s before Elizabeth Proctor fired her for having an
affair with John Proctor. She is a vengeful girl who, in an attempt to protect herself from punishment,
after Reverend Parris finds them dancing, instigates the Salem witch trials and leads the charge of
accusations. Despite her accusations, Abigail is an unabashed liar who charges witchcraft against
those who oppose her, even Elizabeth Proctor in an attempt to take her place as Proctor s

Lucid Dreams And Information-Processing Theory
Dreaming is defined by the Barron AP Psychology Book as the series of storylike images we
experience as we sleep (McEntarffer, 2016, p. 113). Dreams come in all shapes and sizes; some seem
random and others may seem to hold more meaning. There are a wide array of dream theories
including Freudian theory, information processing theory, and activation synthesis theory as described
in the aforementioned book. Freud s perspective emphasizes the unconscious mind and how dreams
can reveal repressed memories. Similar to Freud s theory, the information processing theory attributes
dream content to daily stress as the brain uses dreams to process a day s events. The activation
synthesis theory takes on a more biological perspective, focusing on how ... Show more content on

To figure out the specific applications of lucid dreaming research, Melanie Schädlich from the
University of Heidelberg in Germany and Daniel Erlacher from the University of Bern in Switzerland
collaborated on an online survey back in 2012, in which 300 frequent lucid dreamers were asked about
possible benefits of lucid dreaming as it pertains to their daily lives. The results are as follow: The
most frequent application (81.4%) was having fun, followed by changing a bad dream or nightmare
into a pleasant one (63.8%), solving problems (29.9%), getting creative ideas or insights (27.6%) and
practicing skills (21.3%) (p. 134). For this reason, lucid dreaming could prove to be a useful tool in
combating nightmares or fears, and it may even prove a useful tool in therapy further down the road if
scientists continue to research it and figure out ways to elicit these

Shelley Reed Critique
The painting that I choose for this looking assignment is the long painting about animals, which locate
in the bottom floor of University of New Hampshire museum. This painting was painted by the painter
name Shelley Reed, and the painting name is the dubious battle, this painting was complete in 2013.
Just like it name, the painting shows a very unique theme, and it also carries a unique elements,
especially with the color and the way that Reed combine two themes into one painting. When I look at
it the first times, the thing that caught my eyes is the length of the painting. The painting had a shape
of a rectangle, the width of the painting cover one whole middle wall, and around ten percent of the
left and right wall, and the content of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the half right side, Reed draws the aggressive animal, it show the animals fighting and eating each

the half right, the Reed drew the violent animal like: tiger, lion . Fighting each other, and try to eat
each other, she draws wild dog in the mix, and near the middle, she draws a dead bird, and near the
dead bird is a gun. Because the right half of the painting shows this scene, my prediction that Reed
tries to show the audience that if the animal is weak, they are going to get eaten up by animal that
stronger than them, it doesn t matter whether they come from the same species or not. Reed also
shows that if you have a prominent weapon, then it s really easy to kill, she shows it by painting a

Competency And Stand Trial Is Coming Into Question
The competency to stand trial is coming into question in the case against Deasia Watkins. The CBS
news article illustrated a 20 year old mother who has allegedly decapitated her infant daughter. The
police arrived to find Watkins 3 month old child decapitated on the kitchen counter in the home of the
child s aunt that was temporarily caring for the child. Watkins appeared to be suffering from mental
issues when she was found in bed covered in her child s blood. Watkins has to be sent for treatment
and further evaluation at a psychiatric hospital with the intention to restore her competency so she will
be able to stand trial on an aggravated murder charge in the death of her child. She was already
considered a threat to the child and diagnosed with postpartum psychosis prior to the incident. Social
workers found the child a home with her aunt, but were not aware that Watkins had moved in. Doctors
have six months to restore her competency for a hearing in October to reevaluate her mental stability.
Even after that evaluation doubtable question of whether or not Watkins was competent at the time of
the murder of her infant daughter still comes to mind.
In the case of Dusky v. the United States, the court affirmed that a defendant has a right to a
competency evaluation before a trial. The case established that if a defendant is not competent to stand
trial, he/she might lack the capacity to assist counsel. The defendant may also lack rational or factual

St. Augustine Confessions
The confession of St. Augustine instead of taking a purely autobiographical approach seems to be a
narration of the significant episodes in which God is revealed to Augustine. Writing at a time when
there were no other autobiographies to refer to, the only source that was close to an autobiography was
the epistles of Paul. Augustine s confessions borrow a lot from Paul as he tries to decipher the truth in
the meaning of the scriptures through relating these scriptures to his own life and journey to
Christianity. His is a conversation with a silent partner. While Augustine talks directly to God and not
man, God only responds through actions and not words. In this essay, several incidences in the
Confessions of Augustine will be analyzed showing how they act as a performative exegesis of
Pauline Epistles. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The tolle lege incidence is seen as an important turning point of Augustine as he turns around his life
and converts to Christianity. Paul in this scripture commands the Romans to behave in a decent
manner, and not engage in sexual immorality and debauchery. Augustine, in this scripture, was jolted
like St. Paul on his way to Damascus. He declared that he would no longer engage in sexual
immorality and that he would never marry like St. Paul . As a former student of rhetoric, Augustine
did not understand why he had to accept such a blunt command without questioning its logical end.
However, the aim of the scripture seemed to be a way of saving him from the evil of rhetoric that he
had been so deeply rooted into. As a result, without questioning, the incidence that followed was his

Short Essay On Sophocles
The Ancient Greeks were fans of plays and feats of prowess while simultaneously proving themselves
better than everyone else. Sophocles is regarded as one of the most decorated Greek tragedians,

important roles in the government. He took up the role of commissioner in the Peloponnesian War, led

Multiple Intelligences Self Assessment Quiz
I choose to take the Multiple Intelligences Self Assessment quiz. When I taught preschool and as the
trainer for my department I have learned that there are many different methods in which people learn.
I have learned to adapt how I teach and train based on what is required by the learner. Due to this I
was curious to determine the variety of learning methods that work best for me. I discovered that I
have a broad range of ways in which I learn best. I have always excelled at learning and find that I
learn fairly quickly, so this is not surprising to me. What did surprise me was that my highest
percentage was naturalistic. One question that I often ask is, Why? I enjoy having a knowledge of how
things work and the ability to understand a variety of subjects, but did not realize how highly it
impacted my learning. The few categories where I scored low were music and body kinesthetic.
Neither of these surprise me much. When I work and am trying to concentrate I find that music and
movement is very distracting. I have learned to eliminate them when focus and concentration is
crucial. The rest of the categories I scored from 49% to 63%. I feel this explains my ability to learn a
broad spectrum of things quickly no matter what the method of learning is. The two areas where I
scored the highest were interpersonal and intrapersonal. This explains my drive for success, ability to
gain insight into a variety of situations and people, my solid foundation in who I am and what

The Use Of Glyphosate And Its Effects On The Environment...
The 1990 s ushered in more than Gameboys and a Nebraska Florida State college football rivalry. It
was also a mad scientists delight with the introduction of Dolly, a cloned sheep, and genetic
engineering of food. Hoping to create a powerful agricultural tool, chemical companies set out to
rearrange the building blocks of life and came back with genetically modified (GM) crop varieties that
resist herbicide applications and produce insecticide during the growing process. Whether you are for,
against, or indifferent to GM ingredients in your food, consumers should be informed on the
questionable practices behind growing GM crops and they have a right to know what they are eating
through food labeling. GM crops have been touted by their makers to actually reduce the amount of
herbicides that are needed to spray on crop fields to control weeds. This is great news for the
environment and humans alike, right? This claim, however, appears to not be the truth. As resistant
weeds have emerged on the battle field, the use of glyphosate, a main ingredient in the most widely
used herbicide, continues to climb yearly as outlined by the USDA. Currently over 100 million pounds
of glyphosate is being used on crop fields throughout the United States and that is just one of the many
approved herbicides. Farmers are battling super weeds with more glyphosate and even applying a
secondary herbicide to regain control on their fields. As this battle rages on, bee colonies are

Finger Print Essay
Finger print scanners for school libraries
Introduction
A finger print is unique for each individual. Using finger prints when students are borrowing books
from the library will ensure that a student does not use a fake name, and this will reduce the number of
books the library losses. The finger print scanner will be connected to the school s library system, and
will automatically populate the fields once the student s finger print is read. The finger print scanner
will serve as a fundamental tool for the librarian and will reduce their verification work. In case, a
student s finger print has not been recorded, the librarian can easily capture the student s records, and
since the scanner is linked to the school s system registration is a very easy step.

Fact A fact table typically has two types of columns, foreign keys to dimension tables and measures
those that contain numeric facts. A fact table can contain fact s data on detail or aggregated level.
Types of Dimensions
Slowly Changing Dimensions: Attributes of a dimension that would undergo changes over time. It

Non Additive:
Non additive facts are facts that cannot be summed up for any of the dimensions present in the fact
table.Eg: Facts which have percentages, ratios calculated. Factless Fact Table: In the real world, it is
possible to have a fact table that contains no measures or facts. These tables are called Factless Fact
tables .
Eg: A fact table which has only product key and date key is a factless fact. There are no measures in
this table. But still you can get the number products sold over a period of time.
Based on the above classifications, fact tables are categorized into two:
Cumulative:
This type of fact table describes what has happened over a period of time. For example, this fact table
may describe the total sales by product by store by day. The facts for this type of fact tables are mostly
additive facts. The first example presented here is a cumulative fact table.
Snapshot:
This type of fact table describes the state of things in a particular instance of time, and usually
includes more semi additive and non additive facts. The second example presented here is a snapshot

three senior executives changed Enron from a traditional gas and electricity company into a $150
billion energy corporation. For instance, from 1998 to 2000 only, Enron s returns rose from
approximately $31 billion to over $100 billion, making the company to be the seventh biggest
conglomerate of the Fortune 500. Unidentified to nearly everybody, this picture was the result of one
of the largest swindles in financial history (Ferrell, Fraedrich Ferrell, 2013).
One of the key issues presented in the case was the shell game. Not every person knows this, but
prices of stock are based on how flourishing a company appears, not the amount of money it has in the
bank. Enron s top executives, helped by appropriate deregulation of the power utility industry, spin
this dodge into a gold mine. They apparently posted profits founded on how much a particular
business enterprise could generate, not how much it was essentially worth, and covered losses through
offshore shell companies. The company s accounting firm, Arthur Andersen LLP, was mature and well
esteemed; not even a single person supposed

The Discovery Of The Network Devices
1. Describe the steps you would take to determine the needs of the organization (the discovery of the
network devices)
As a consultant that was brought in to determine the needs of the organization, the primary starting
point is content discovery. The art of content discovery is to get an understanding of the business, its
network structure, organizational requirements and the resources that are available. Because the
number one rule in all problem solving manifests, is first to know and get an understand the problem,
the problem that you are tasked with or trying to solve.
Therefore, the first element of content discovery is to get an understanding of the organization. Who is
the company, what industry do they operate in, what services or products do they provide, what is
their mission statement, what are their daily operations, are many of the questions that needs to be
answered, often times before the job starts. The second element is to understand the organization from
an internal point of view. It starts with understanding the structure of the organization, getting a high
level organization chart to help determine the divisional structure of the organization, their
communication methods, the Service Level Agreements that they have in place, and their geographical
profile in order to know whether there are additional sites in other regions. The next step within the
second element is to get the structure and technical level of local and remote IT divisions, their

How Does Class Matter
Does it really matter? Does class really matter? Yes and according to many studies it does affect the
learning and teaching of students across the country. Classrooms are packed with lots of students
which makes it harder for the student to learn and also on the school to provide the assets needed.Have
a smaller class makes it so students learn and behave better, this statement is proven by the infamous

How Did Jean Honore Fagonard The Swing
The Swing by Jean Honore Fragonard, is an oil on canvas painting (2′8″ x 2′1″) created in 1766. This
painting is often brought up when one discusses the Rococo period of art, as it is considered to be one
of the most recognized of the period. This painting is the epitome of the Rococo style of art. Rococo
was an art period that appeared in the early 1700s, when the reign of Louis XIV came to an end. It s a
combination of the Italian word Barocco, and irregularly shaped pearl; with the French word rocaille,
which is a popular form of ornate gardening/interior ornamentation. The upper class wanted a style of
art that described their lifestyles of luxury and frivolity, which is exactly what the ideas behind
Rococo were. This led to a plethora of artists recreating the idea of pleasure and beauty in much of
their art. The Palace of Versaille is the ideal example of Rococo elegance, showing the ideals of the
French Enlightenment period. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The woman is surrounded by two men who seem to be yearning for her attention. At the time this
painting was created, a lot of scandal was built up behind it; in the painting, the man in front of the
woman seems to be getting a view up her skirt, while her supposed husband stands behind her, pulling
the swing. This painting is extremely synonymous with the Rococo era due to the carefree, leisurely
nature of the woman on the swing. As well as the scene of luxury and beauty being shown is very
typical of the Rococo

Installing Convergent Encryption By Aes Encryption
CHAPTER5 PROPOSEDARCHITECTUREANDMETHODOLOGY 5.1Proposed Architecture Inthis
section, wedescribetheproposedarchitecture of deduplication system. In our proposed architecture we
replace some technique with new technique like we replaced convergent encryption by AES
encryption. We eliminate some steps that are not necessary to be there. That will help to reduce
execution time. Mainly we made three changes in our proposed architecture: 1. We use AES
encryption in place of convergent encryption. 2. We eliminate secret key encryption between server
and metadata manager. 3. We proposed to check duplication at starting stage. In old architecture
duplication checked when data converted in another form means after encryption. These three changes

So we eliminate one secret encryption layer that was present between server and metadata manager.
System takes so much time every time to check integrity and address of file because of that secret
encryption layer. So clearly this step will reduce execution time. And at last we check duplication at
starting stage. Now, there is no need to encrypt every data for integrity checking. This also eliminates
extra overload from system. 5.2 COMPONENTS: In this section we describe the role of each
component. A. User The role of the user is limited to uploading files to the system, encrypting them
with the AES encryption technique, signing the resulting encrypted files and creating the
storagerequest. In addition, the user also generates the key to AES system by his ID and PASSWORD.
It works as file identifier to the system. For each file, this key will be used to decrypt and re build the
file when it will be retrieved. Instead, thefile identifier is necessary to univocally identify a file
overthe whole system. Finally, the user also signs each files with a special signature scheme. In order
not to apply costly signatureoperations for the file, for all it adds owner name to a separate MM. The
main architecture is illustrated in Fig. 5.1. B. Server The server has three main roles: authenticating
users duringthe storage/retrieval request, performing access control byverifying block signatures
embedded in the data, encrypting/decrypting data traveling from users to the cloud

All Quiet On The Western Front Analysis
In the novel All Quiet On The Western Front written by Erich Remarque, the protagonist Paul deal s
with the new ways of fighting in world war 1 as this war introduced multiple new ways to bring death
and violence. He needs to adapt to living in the trenches, machine gun fire, and the constant fear of a
shell landing on him. This novel portrays the ways in which living styles and weapons in war changed
warfare for the worst, drastically increasing the brutality. During world war one, the soldiers would
have to fight on the battlefield and needed to find a way to stay there without immediately dying. The
military found that digging up a system of ditches in the ground would keep the soldiers alive long
enough to fight. These ditches, named trenches, changed the men inside of them. The men would live
in some of the cruelest conditions within a base than any other previous war. Men within the trench
had to deal with a foot disease known as trench foot along with constant splinters, which both caused
major damage to feet. When Paul s within the trench heading to the hospital area, he says My thoughts
become confused. This atmosphere of carbolic and gangrene clogs the lungs, it is a thick gruel, it
suffocates (Remarque 2.37). This line says how living condition s inside trenches made soldiers
miserable with multiple uncomfortable smells and other influences. The living conditions of the trench
show how world war one had changed warfare for the worst through the increase in

  • 2. A Medical And Moral Look At Ectopic Pregnancy Essays The complexity of the human reproductive system is unbelievable baffling. The fact that the egg even leaves the protection of the ovary and starts its journey down the fallopian tube is remarkable. The process by which the sperm manage to scurry their way to meet the egg through the hostile environment of a woman s body isanother great accomplishment of the human body. The fact that, in the majority of cases, the egg and sperm meet, join, and find their way into the uterus and set up the beginning of a new little life is one of the most perplexing facts of medical science. The treacherous path is sometimes uncompleted, however. When this is the case the parents are face with one of the more serious, and potentially deadly conditions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Testing and diagnosing an ectopic pregnancy is actually difficult, because an answer to the problem is not always clear cut, nor is it always available right away. The hCG levels in the woman s body may be tested to check the rate of increase in them over the pregnancy. They normally double about every two days in anormal pregnancy. But this alone is not a conclusive indicator of an ectopic pregnancy. An ultrasound is frequently used, along with vaginal ultrasound to try to visualize the pregnancy and the position of the baby. If a uterine (normal) pregnancy is confirmed then the chance of an ectopic pregnancy is extremely rare. Sometimes it is too early to diagnose an ectopic via ultrasound, and the exam has to be repeated. If the ectopic pregnancy is visualized, on the other hand, then the couple will proceed to treatment options available depending on their situation. Sometimes in urgent situations a laparoscopy procedure will be done to provide both the diagnosis and the treatment. This is done in an operating room as a surgery. If the patient does have an ectopic, the procedure is surgically treated at that time. The two main types of treatment are chemical and surgical. Chemical treatment is done with a drug called methotrexate. It is used to literally dissolve the pregnancy in non urgent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Relationship Between Warm Colors and Positive Mood This research is important because every day we have to make choices that include choosing a color when for example we decide what shade of makeup to use, what color of clothes to buy or decide what color to paint a wall. Some frequently responses when a person is feeling sad is to describe it as feeling blue or when a person fall in love is common to hear that now this person view the world through rose colored glasses. Other frequently expressions are to describe a person s jealousy as to be green with envy, or describe a child s innocence as to be pure as the snow . Author David Simmons studied color effects more generally in his book, Color and emotion: New directions in color studies. Simmons conducted a lot of experiments trying to prove that color can enhance positive moods. In one of his experiments he asked 56 undergraduate psychology students to paint a white wall with a color that made them to feel positive. The results indicated that yellow, orange and red were picked as the most positive color of the 9 color samples in total. Jacob and Suess (1975) disagree with the general theory that warm colors are more appealing and tend to enhance positive mood. They found that participants shown a more positive mood towards cool colors rather than warm colors. In his article, Effects of four psychological primary colors on anxiety state; Perceptual and motor skills, states that previous studies may have overlooked the effects of colors on standard pencil and paper measures of anxiety. He investigated the effects of primary colors such as: red, yellow, blue and green and the level of anxiety of the participants. The researcher administered the state scale of the State Trait Anxiety Inventory to 40 participants. After reviewing the results he found that colors red and yellow were associated with high levels of anxiety by the participants. On the other hand, color green was described as calming and associated with low levels of anxiety by the participants. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How Does Christianity Affect Australia The practises, beliefs and values of Christianity and Islam have an impact on Australia society; however, the media exploits the perceived tension between the two groups which has led to discrimination and violence. Similarities are found between the commandments which state that one should not kill, steal or bear false witness, and the laws written about them. The parliament of Australia is majorly influenced by Christianity as the original government was made up of the English settlers who all had a Church of England or Christian background. The gradient across the membrane represents potential energy because the gradient plays a major role of triggering whether diffusion is needed or not, and diffusion is after all, fueled by energy. Four ways that large molecules and substances are transported across a membrane include phagocytosis, pinocytosis, receptor mediated endocytosis and receptor proteins. During phagocytosis, the cell engulfs a particle by wrapping pseudopodia around the particle and packing the particle within the food vacuole (membranous sac). Once the food vacuole integrates with a lysosome (w/ hydrolytic enzyme), the particle will be digested. The second way is pinocytosis, in which the cell takes in droplets of extracellular fluid and packs it into tiny vesicles; after this, the tiny vesicles are then transported into the cell because the molecules dissolved in the droplets are the main factors that the cells need. The third process is known as receptor mediated endocytosis which the cells takes in large quantities of specific substances of all concentration in the Extracellular (EC) fluid; the membranes of the cell vesicle are embedded with proteins that has certain receptor sites that are exposed to the EC fluid in which ligand binds to. Then, the last step is that the receptor proteins cluster in regions of the membrane known as coated pits which contain fuzzy layer of coat proteins on the exterior; then, each coated pit forms a vesicle which contains the ligand molecules and after the ingested material is released from the vesicle, the vesicles then recycle the receptors to the plasma ... • 19. Factors of the Jewish Dispersion The destination of the Jewish dispersion varied especially based on the occupations of the Jews. The actual Diaspora really took place when thousands of Hebrew elites and craftsmen were deported and dispersed to Babylon. This occurred to concentrate the various skills of the Jewish in separate arenas and to use these individually skilled communities for the benefit of the Babylonians. For example, as previously mentioned the most skilled and elite Jews were dispersed to Babylon the heart of the Babylonian empire. Thus, the better trained and more adept a Jew was, the more opportunity the Jew had to serve for empire in higher ranks solely to meet the needs of the empire and its rulers. This helped the empires exiling the Jews to prosper, but unfortunately created rifts and gaps within the Hebrew community. This pattern of dispersion, which was developed by the Babylonians and used by the Romans to scatter the Jews, allowed for these dominant empires to prosper, however, limited the interaction within the Hebrew community and resulted in the diminishing originality and novelty of the skilled Jews. Despite the use of the uniform dispersion pattern based on the occupations of the Jews, the reason why Jews were exiled and dispersed varied depending on the imposing empire of the time, which performed these actions. The Hebrew Diaspora was caused by different factors depending on the group exiling the Hebrews. In other words, the reason for dispersing the Hebrews depended on the ... When I taught preschool and as the trainer for my department I have learned that there are many different methods in which people learn. I have learned to adapt how I teach and train based on what is required by the learner. Due to this I was curious to determine the variety of learning methods that work best for me. I discovered that I have a broad range of ways in which I learn best. I have always excelled at learning and find that I learn fairly quickly, so this is not surprising to me. What did surprise me was that my highest percentage was naturalistic. One question that I often ask is, Why? I enjoy having a knowledge of how things work and the ability to understand a variety of subjects, but did not realize how highly it impacted my learning. The few categories where I scored low were music and body kinesthetic. Neither of these surprise me much. When I work and am trying to concentrate I find that music and movement is very distracting. I have learned to eliminate them when focus and concentration is crucial. The rest of the categories I scored from 49% to 63%. I feel this explains my ability to learn a broad spectrum of things quickly no matter what the method of learning is. The two areas where I scored the highest were interpersonal and intrapersonal. This explains my drive for success, ability to gain insight into a variety of situations and people, my solid foundation in who I am and what ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was also a mad scientists delight with the introduction of Dolly, a cloned sheep, and genetic engineering of food. Hoping to create a powerful agricultural tool, chemical companies set out to rearrange the building blocks of life and came back with genetically modified (GM) crop varieties that resist herbicide applications and produce insecticide during the growing process. Whether you are for, against, or indifferent to GM ingredients in your food, consumers should be informed on the questionable practices behind growing GM crops and they have a right to know what they are eating through food labeling. GM crops have been touted by their makers to actually reduce the amount of herbicides that are needed to spray on crop fields to control weeds. This is great news for the environment and humans alike, right? This claim, however, appears to not be the truth. As resistant weeds have emerged on the battle field, the use of glyphosate, a main ingredient in the most widely used herbicide, continues to climb yearly as outlined by the USDA. Currently over 100 million pounds of glyphosate is being used on crop fields throughout the United States and that is just one of the many approved herbicides. Houston executives Kenneth Lay (Chairman), Jeffrey Skilling (chief executive officer (CEO) and Andrew Fastow (chief financial officer (CFO) parlayed their new mega company into a favorite Wall Street company, bragging of record profits with negligible losses. During the 1990s, the three senior executives changed Enron from a traditional gas and electricity company into a $150 billion energy corporation. For instance, from 1998 to 2000 only, Enron s returns rose from approximately $31 billion to over $100 billion, making the company to be the seventh biggest conglomerate of the Fortune 500. Unidentified to nearly everybody, this picture was the result of one of the largest swindles in financial history (Ferrell, Fraedrich Ferrell, 2013).
