This proposal outlines a final year project to design an efficient and economic electric vehicle (EV) system powered by a solar photovoltaic (PV) battery and utilizing regenerative braking. The objectives are to design the system and test it for practical use. It was chosen because the EV market is growing, pollution needs to be reduced, and EV systems have significant room for improvement. The project will be implemented in MATLAB Simulink and involve designing a solar panel, maximum power point tracker, zeta converter, regenerative braking, and battery. It has a timeline spanning October 2022 to June 2023 for literature review, component design, simulation, results validation, and final dissertation under the guidance of an advisor.
