1. Proposal
I propose to create a campaign for our new upcoming horror movie “In the woods”.
The campaign will include a trailer for the horror movie, a few different posters and
a magazine cover in order to help advertisement. The target audience for the
campaign will vary. The primary audience will be young adults both female and male
aged roughly 16-24 and my secondary audience will be adults over the age of 24.
The reason for the primary audience is that this is the typical audience for a horror
movie and it appeals that age group. Also due to the certification, the blood/gore
and violent nature of the movie and types like this it would not be suitable for
younger ages.
Trailer: The price for the trailer will be between £5000 and £6000 as it will just use
the footage from the movie but will cost us to edit and promote. The movie will be
recorded within Armthorpe. Within the woods, field, surrounding areas and partly in
the houses of the characters. The trailer will start by establishing the story, will show
a few scares slowly, there will be a break while they establish more of the story,
going back into more scares starting slow getting faster paced until a break, silence
and then leading to the big scare.
Poster: The main poster I will create to advertise the movie will be in a mystery style.
The poster will be completely black with a mask in the middle, the eyes on the mask
will be completely blacked out. There will then be writing at the bottom saying
“behind you” and the date for release. There will also be other posters created
virtually the same but with different writing at the bottom.
Magazine cover:The magazine cover will use the main character and the killer. It will
be set out with the main character stood camera in one hand, weapon in the other
hand and then the killers face/mask just above his shoulder with the eyes blacked
out again.
