SHELDON FERNANDEZ, Country Manager, PropertyGuru Malaysia
Sheldon is a versatile sales professional and an ardent advocate for online, with over 14 years of
experience in digital marketing and sales leadership. He joined PropertyGuru.com.my as country
manager in June 2015 and leads the company’s sales and B2B strategy, driving strategic business
deals, and cultivating relationships with key industry partners in Malaysia. He leads a team of more
than 60 staff, including internal and external marketing and field sales representatives servicing
real estate developers, agencies and agents.
IAN PAYNTON

Paynton has been helping big brands‘do content’for the last seven years as a brand journalist,
editor, digital publisher, marketer and account manager. He now consults brands in Asia on content

Renard is a stakeholder council member of the Sustainable
and Resilient Infrastructure (SuRe) standard developed
by the Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) Foundation.
He actively participates and contributes in various
stakeholder platforms to promote the importance of
green buildings/infrastructure. He was a postdoctoral
teaching fellow and a researcher at the Centre for Energy
and Environmental Markets (CEEM), and has published in
a range of international refereed journals and received a
Highly Commended Paper award from the Emerald Literati
Network.
DR. MAZLAN ABBAS 
IOT Evangelist & Thought Leader, CEO – REDTone IOT,
Malaysia
Dr. Mazlan is a frequent speaker in many major and
established IT and telco conferences locally and globally.
He sits in Industry Advisory Panel (IAP) for several local
universities. Before joining REDtone, he spent 8 years in
MIMOS Berhad as Senior Director Wireless Communications
Cluster. He also spent 13 years in CELCOM (mobile
operator), handling many senior management roles.
DR.THOMAS TANG 
Managing Director, Kuala Lumpur Centre for Sustainable
Innovations, Malaysia
Dr.Thomas is the corporate sustainability director for AECOM
Asia. He is a member of the Malaysian Green Building Council
research committee and a member of the sustainability
committee for the Construction Industry Development Board’s
Construction Industry Transformation Programme. He is also
a member of the Social Progress Malaysia Committee, part of
the global Social Progress Imperative overseeing the role of
social innovation in economic growth and development. He is
currently running the Kuala Lumpur Centre for Sustainable
Innovation. He has an MBA from Henley Business School.
MAHADHIR AZIZ

Mahadhir has 17 years of experience in various industries. He
possesses project management expertise and is a Certified
Professional Management Consultant, with proven track
record in the IT industry. He has been highly commended by
his professional colleagues as an excellent business planning
strategist, who has the ability to articulate the big picture
and present available options to solutions. He obtained his
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) majoring in Computer Science
with minor in Business from Lakehead University in Canada
in 1998.
DAVID HILL

David has been in the entertainment, hospitality and real
estate industry for over 23 years, having lived and worked
on 4 continents and holds a Master’s Degree from the
University of Oregon (USA). He has a passion for service
excellence, influenced by his experience working around
the world, He joined Jumeriah Group in Dubai as general
manager in 1998 before joining Marriott International in
2001 where he worked in various properties in Africa and the
Middle East. In 2015 he joined Dalat at 1200 Country Club
and Private Estate.
DR. DANIELE GAMBERO 
CEO, REI Group of Companies
Dr. Daniele, expatriate to Malaysia from Italy since 2000,
holds an MBA in Macroeconomics, a Master in Marketing and
Communication and a PhD in Marketing Strategies and Mass
Communication from the University of Michigan. Since 2007,
through REI Group of Companies he has been a strategic
consultant for Malaysian developers.A regular newspaper
and magazine columnist in Malaysia, he authored has a book
Malaysian Propenomy.
YBHG DATUK HJ SAHROM
Director of Planning Department, Kuala Lumpur City Hall
Datuk Haji Sahrom bin Ujang, dilahirkan pada 1 Mac 1957 di
Sekinchan, Selangor. Berusia 59 tahun. Beliau mendapat
Ijazah dari Universiti Teknologi Malaysia dan memulakan
kerjaya sebagai Pegawai Perancang Bandar dan Desa di Dewan
Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur pada 1 April 1982 dan kini memegang
jawatan Pengarah Jabatan Perancangan Bandaraya mulai 15
Januari 2014. Telah berkhidmat lebih kurang 34 tahun dan
akan bersara pada 1 Mac 2017.
ENCIK MOHD. SALEM KAILANY 
Chief Executive Officer of PNB Development Sdn. Berhad
(PNBD)
En. Salem is a Harvard Business School Alumni and graduate
in Estate Management from Universiti Teknologi Mara. He has
more than 24 years’experience in the real estate sector. He
served as the SVP at Sime Darby Property Berhad (SDP) and
played instrumental roles in major SDP projects. He also has
stints with Guthrie Property Development Holdings Berhad
and Golden Hope Development Sdn Bhd. assumed his current
PNBD role in March 2016.
SAMUEL TAN
Executive Director, KGV International Property Consultants
Samuel graduated with a Bachelor of Surveying (Hons)
Property Management in 1984 and was registered with the
Board of Valuers,Appraisers & Estate Agents of Malaysia
in 1987. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Surveyors
Malaysia (RISM). He is also a licensed auctioneer in the State
of Johor since 1986. He has accumulated over 32 years of
experience in property primarily concentrating in South
Johor. He represents The Edge Daily, a popular business
weekly commenting on the local market scene. He sits in
the committee of IMPACT of Iskandar Regional Development
Authority.
CHEAH PING YEAN 
Senior Vice President, Investment Incentives Iskandar
Regional Development Authority [IRDA]
Cheah oversees policies, strategies and implementation of
fiscal investment and talent incentives. Prior to joining IRDA,
he headed the technical assessment team for MSC Status
applications at the Multimedia Development Corporation
(MDeC) in Cyberjaya. He had short stints with the Malaysian
Technology Development Corporation and Celcom Malaysia
early in his career. He graduated with a First Class Honours
degree in Education from the University of Surrey, United
Kingdom as a Federal Government scholar; and completed his
Masters in Islamic Finance from INCEIF, Kuala Lumpur in 2013.
NORHIZAM ABDUL KADIR 
Vice President, Infotech Division Malaysia Digital
Economy Corporation (MDEC)
Hizam brings with him over 15 years’experience in
multimarket IT and energy industries across APAC. He has
strong experience in corporate marketing, end-customer
sales, business development, communications and channel
marketing and enablement. He was director of Southeast
Asia for Ballard Power Systems. Before that he managed
Intel Malaysia and Microsoft Malaysia’s communications/
marketing teams.
