2. Prolapse of Temporal Lobe Presenting As Aural
Polyp
• A 44 years old presented with Left Earache
radiating to temporal region. It was a constant
ache not responding to analgesics.
• Past history of cerebral venous thrombosis for
which he received ante coagulants for 4 years.
• History of Left Canal wall down
mastoidectomy 3 years ago.
3. Prolapse of Temporal Lobe Presenting As Aural
Polyp
• Systemic Examination was normal .
• Left auditory canal showed big polypoid mass
occupying the cavity & reaching external
auditory meatus
• Audiometry showed left side sever Nerve
deafness.
• MRI Brain & Temporal bone was done.
4. Prolapse of Temporal Lobe Presenting As Aural
Polyp
• Patient is planned for surgery.
• Any polypoid mass in the external auditory
canal with previous history of mastoidectomy
should undergo proper imaging for proper
planning & execution of treatment.
