To build mobile apps that transfer ETH between users, use Toshi.
To build web apps that talk to Ethereum smart contracts, use web3

10. What to submit
§ Screencast with voiceover (max 2 mins) of your mobile app, web app, or
smart contracts.
§ Link to your github repository with full source code and README.
Make sure your repo is public.
§ 1 paragraph writeup on problem you are solving.
§ 1 paragraph writeup on your solution.
12. Judging Criteria
Use of Blockchain/Distributed Ledger Technology: Does your Toshi app make use of
Ethereum features? Did you write smart contracts for Ethereum/Hyperledger?
Quality of Technical Implementation: Does the Toshi app work? Does the smart
contract compile? To what extend does it do what was intended?
Relevance of Idea to Blockchain: Can your problem area benefit from blockchain use in
the first place? How innovative is your use case?
Clarity of Demo and Documentation: Is your 2 min screencast clear and compelling?
Does your README file on GitHub explain your architecture well?
Impact to Society of Solution: How many people / organizations are affected by your
project? Does it make the world a better place.
