Carlos Ghosn believes that in
excellent company is one that
enriches all of its four main
shareholders: its stockholders,
customers, employees and society.
You must strike the balance
between them. According to Ghosn,
an outstanding company is one that
achieves good short-term results
while taking matters into
consideration from long-term
perspective.
In every situation you need to
make your own judgments, but you
will always remind yourself that
you are in business and you must
learn that decisions cannot be
influence by emotions.
You must balance the longer and
the short term, and your business
must create benefits for the
company and for society. It is
something Ghosn likes to call
“professional craftsmanship.”
And the presence of professional
craftsmen in an organization will
determine whether society looks up
to it or down on it.
1. Aim to enrich the four main
shareholders. An excellent
company takes care of its
stockholders, customers, employees
and society.
2. Decisions should be based only on
value creations and priorities.
Emotion is personal and should
not get in a way of the important
decisions.
Reaction:
• Managing the business is not so easy. I agree
with Carlos Ghosn believing that in
excellent company is one that enriches not
only the company but also its people. When
you are in business, your decision cannot be
influence by your emotion. Decisions should
be based only on company’s priorities.
Emotion should not affect the important
decisions about the company.
• To be better professional leader, you must
be flexible in handling your organizations.
In a school, the administrator must be
smart and flexible to fix the problem in an
organization. An excellent administrator
takes care of its teacher, stockholders,
pupils and society.
