My Principles of Teaching

Interactive Introduction
It is where I am going to collect ideas from
students about something or happenings
that are related to our lesson. These pieces
of ideaswill guidethemto their lesson.
for example:
what are the things that we can find in our
universe?
Formal Topic
Initiation
This is when I will be formally
tackling ourlesson.
The activity prior to this will
prepare their brains for where
I would bring those curious
minds.
Example Topic: “Our Solar
System”
Subject Mastery
As a teacher, I must possess the ability of subject mastery, so that
the transfer of information willbe smooth.
There must be no room for errors if you are
going to teach, there may be some but
minimal. All lessons must be taught must
based on facts.
A lesson that transcends will result in
interested and motivated learners. Their
interest will adhere to the lesson that you
taught.
Emphasizing Important points
Pointing out important details will benefit the
students to understandeasily.
It will depend on them if they will make the
situation easy or hard.
The lesson will then be much clearer to them
and it will not be difficult for them to answer
their exams.
Reaching and Collaboration
Students are surrounded by peers and that can be used to their
advantage. Collaborating and discussing about the lesson with
classmates will help one another share their knowledge and what they
have learnedfrom the lesson .
At this point, their voices will be
heard. It will be their time to speak
what are their key takeaways from my
discussion.
As a teacher that teaches, I can also
get some ideas from my students and
from that I could alsolearnfrom them.
Assessment
This is to find out if
they have learned
frommeornot.
This is maybe a
form of pen and
paper quiz or an
oral recitation, or a
debate to be more
funand exciting.
My Reflection
At the end of the
day, I must also
reflect on my
overall
performance. If
there are possible
errors that I’ve
made or if it is
tolerable and how
will I improve for
Preparation for Tomorrow
A teacher is a warrior that must be ready for every battle. She
must be equipped with weapons before charging in the battle
field.
Teaching is not a goal for itself, or teaching the greatest lesson
but to equip learners to teach themselves in order to become
life-longlearners.
