(specified)

The results show that those surveyed
shop both online and in the high street.
There were also several “Other” shops
specified these
included, Topshop, Monsoon, River
Island and charity/vintage shops. There
could be online discount codes or
reviews of new releases in the magazine.
With results like these it would be
stupid not to realise that over 90% of
those surveyed say they log into
social networks more than once a
day, showing that social networking
must be utilised, a Twitter
feed, interactions with readers
through the Facebook “wall” and
exclusive news and interviews on the
tumblr blog!

How often do you log into social
media networks (e.g.
Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.)?

Kerrang! And Rocksound would be my
magazine’s main competitor. With Kerrang!
Released weekly and Rocksound released
monthly, I look to release my magazine
every two weeks.
Do you go to gigs or festivals?

Yes

No

I would if I was aware of them.

The magazine should include
reviews on upcoming tours and
gigs, news of festivals, and where to
buy tickets from. – Link to the social
media.

£30 +

Majority of those asked spent £10
pounds or less on music in a month.
This suggests an avid interest but it’s
not going to break the bank, as most
of my magazine readers are 16 – 18
year olds. The price of my magazine
must reflect this.
