This document summarizes environmental education activities conducted at a preschool in Poland from September 2013 to June 2014. Some of the activities included: creating an autumn nature corner; making compotes and juices from fruits; crafts using vegetables, leaves, and salt dough; learning about forest animals; experiments with water, ice, and evaporation; creating recycled Christmas decorations; a theater production of Little Red Riding Hood; spring crafts from recycled materials like bottles and rolls; experiments with air; and celebrations of World Water Day and Earth Day. The goal was to educate children about nature, recycling, and environmental protection through hands-on seasonal activities.

“Christmas around the world”: Students have surfed the internet to look for customs and traditions in different countries related to Christmas celebrations around the world.
The school wore a festive look with Christmas trees decorated with shiny stars, the golden bell, the red & white candy, the wreath, the candle etc. Pictures of Santa Claus adorned the walls of the school while the buildings reverberated with Jingle bells and other carols.

The Library “Green Team,” organized and motivated by Circulation Department Head Christy Snyders in September of 2009, led the way as Roselle Public Library staff successfully completed each environmentally friendly task on the path to earning the Earth Flag. <p>
The Roselle Public Library District “Green Team” and staff continue to actively promote environmental education for the community through programming, informational displays, positive environmental practices in the Library, and adding to the Library’s collections of materials on environmental issues.<p>

St Thomas children entered the local horticultural society show in 2011 and really enjoyed the whole experience. The project was also an eTwinning project with schools in Bulgaria and Poland.
