Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Mr. Moore’s Blog
Dear Isenberg Gators,
It has been my pleasure to serve as Isenberg’s Principal this school year. We've
had several exciting things to happen for both our staff members and our
students. As as we move towards the summer break, I challenge all students and
parents to do the following.
1. Encourage our students to read and also write during the summer.
2. Take time out to work on math skills both in computation and word problems.
3. Use our school's website to log onto Reading A-to-Z and Mobymax online games, which are all
free for Isenberg Elementary students.
4. Use your time this summer to do something creative, new and challenging with your family.
You are a wonderful community of students, parents and staff to work with and I look forward to
an awesome 2015–16 school year.
As always, Go Gators!!

Isenberg Parent Teacher Association
Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) are a powerful voice for
all children, a relevant resource for families and communities,
and strong advocates for the education and well-being of
children. PTAs across North Carolina impact children and
their families. We are so happy that Isenberg Elementary
PTA is striving to do our best to play a significant role in
that process.
This year has been amazing! We are happy to
announce that our membership is very strong and
has increased significantly, as shown on our
Membership Goal Thermometer (displayed in front
lobby of the school). We had our Movie Night that
was the most attended to date. The movie was Big
Hero 6. Our Cookie
Dough Spring Fundraiser
was distributed on the
same night and was very convenient for all those who wanted to pick up
orders after school hours. Teacher Appreciation Week was a star-
studded event for the teachers and staff (The theme was “The Star You
Are.”) Teachers were treated to Isenberg T-shirts that read, “Isenberg
Teachers Rock!” and themed treats, lunches and gift bag raffles
throughout the entire week. Thank you to all of the parents who sent
in food and or drink items on Thursday, May 7, 2015 for Teacher Snack
Day. The teachers loved all the treats! Our last dance of the year was
held outside on May 22. The final BIG event of the year was Isenberg
Idol on June 5th.
We have truly enjoyed providing fundraisers, dances, movies, and other
support to the school. It is our hope that if you were not a member of the PTA this year that
you will be inspired to join next year. Remember, this is your PTA and with you involved, it can
only get better. Have a great summer!

News From Ms. Muñoz
5. 5
Children who read during the summer are more
likely to avoid summer learning loss, and children
who don’t have many books in the home are at the
greatest risk. Even five books can make a difference,
according to Harvard University research. “Give 5
Read 5” is a state-wide literacy promotion which asks the community’s
support in providing North Carolina students with materials for summer
reading. Due to the generosity of the Isenberg community, students
received their summer reading books on June 5th.

Rowan-Cabarrus at Isenberg
“Soccket”
On May 1, a group of students from Rowan-Cabarrus
Community College’s business department
demonstrated Soccket -- an electricity-generating
soccer ball -- to 5th graders in support of Isenberg’s
STEM focus. The “Soccket” ball was created by the
social enterprise company, Uncharted Play in order to
find eco-friendly ways
to provide electricity
to vulnerable areas of
the world. Using an
internal gyroscope, the
Soccket stores energy
while the ball is in
play. Students learned
how technology can
make life better in all
parts of the world.
Isenberg’s
“Kiwanis” Kids (K-
Kids) has been
busy with service
projects this year!
On May 8th, this
group of enthusiastic 5th graders sponsored
Pajama Day. !Students and Staff who chose to
wear pajamas
paid $1. !
Through this

$175 in funds
were used to
support Rowan
Helping
Ministries.
On May 19,
the K-Kids performed a Reader's Theatre
version of the picture book The Day the
Crayons Quit!for all Kindergarten students at
1:30pm in the Media Center. After the
performance, the K-Kids accompanied students
back to their
classes,
distributed a
box of crayons
to each child
to keep, and
worked with
them on a
writing
assignment.
Student Government Association (SGA)
Student representatives from each classroom
are members of the Isenberg SGA. This spring,
the SGA collected dozens of cans of animal
food and other items and delivered them to the
Rowan County Animal shelter.
On April 23, around 60 pastors from the
Uwharrie United Methodist region visited
Isenberg for a day of service. SGA students
were responsible for greeting the pastors and
escorting them to individual classrooms so that
they could work with all of Isenberg’s students.
