2. Notes From Mrs. Mizell
Dear Parents,
As principal, the most important thing I do is to provide our students with the best
teaching staff possible. The teachers are highly qualified and are committed to the success
of all students. With the Common Core Standards, we are dedicated to integrate technology
into your child’s education: iPads, computers, and use of Promethean Boards. Our teachers
have on-going professional development throughout the year; instructing with the latest
research proven strategies.
I encourage you to stay in contact with your child’s teacher. When parents and
teachers communicate and work together, your student’s academic performance will be
more successful. We invite you to visit our school, join in our celebrations, attend rise and
shine on Friday mornings, and come eat lunch with your child. With the support of the
community, parents, teachers and students, we will work collaboratively to help each
student reach their potential.
We at Central care about your child and want to make a positive difference in their
life. Second semester is a busy time. We are working toward all achieving the scores of 3s
and 4s in reading, math and writing. Students should be read to or read independently for at
least 20 minutes each night, have a good supper, and have a consistent bed time. If you have
any concerns, questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
Reaching New Heights-Soaring to Excellence
Sincerely,
Cindy Mizell
