The study aimed to determine the prevalence of Schistosoma japonicum infection in Barangay Magrafil, Gonzaga, Cagayan. Stool samples were collected from 79 participants and examined using Kato-Katz and formalin-ether concentration techniques. The overall prevalence of S. japonicum infection was 24.05%. No significant associations were found between infection and age, gender, or occupation. Other parasites detected included Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, and hookworm. While the study provided useful baseline information, larger samples and additional analyses could improve understanding of S. japonicum transmission dynamics in the area.
