Pretotyping for problem:
How might we ... encourage an uncertain student to re-assess her likes/
motivators/strengths to allow for career-planning/internship?
Two of my top 3 choices for
solutions
ii. the most disruptive idea (one that would make a huge impact, regardless of
how feasible or affordable it is)

Solution 42 - Go to a prison cell and learn from people on what you
should NOT do in life or learn from others mistakes (not in prison but
still repenting!)

iii. My favorite idea (one idea that I was excited about for whatever reason... )

Solution 30 - Plan early as possible with your favorite successful uncle or
aunt and get his her sponsorship as well for further studies / specialization

1st candidate liked solution 2 as it was more
practical and S.M.A.R.T.
Most people enjoyed the experience as long as
they retained control over their actions.
Nothing was forced.
2nd candidate felt that the anti-logic of
asking repenting souls really would set them
on the right path.
The first solution was more innovative and
required different type of thinking by both
users.
The walk through of the experience was done
via play acting and process visualization. The
Pretotyping exercise lead me to believe that
we can improve the timing on solution 1 and
thereby fine tune it for success, while 2nd OK.

Pretotyping with uncertain students (focusing on testing proto...s)

  • 1. Pretotyping for problem: How might we ... encourage an uncertain student to re-assess her likes/ motivators/strengths to allow for career-planning/internship?
  • 2. Two of my top 3 choices for solutions ii. the most disruptive idea (one that would make a huge impact, regardless of how feasible or affordable it is) Solution 42 - Go to a prison cell and learn from people on what you should NOT do in life or learn from others mistakes (not in prison but still repenting!) iii. My favorite idea (one idea that I was excited about for whatever reason... ) Solution 30 - Plan early as possible with your favorite successful uncle or aunt and get his her sponsorship as well for further studies / specialization
  • 3. Soln 1 If NO, then ask your parents/ grandparents about any repenting characters If YES, then go plan a visit to the prison with questionnaire Found any? Check with friends and relatives about any known prison mates Plan career based on what is needed Got sufficient experiences Interview the person and his cell mates to find out what not to do N Y N Y
  • 4. Soln 2 Start planning early, for funds/ specialization Are reviews done ? Add another relative with a profession who can guide you Track progress at each milestone Identify favorite uncle/aunt N Y Create a course mix with choice subjects under the counsel of fav sponsors Chart out a course like a roadmap for milestones. Get sign off from sponsor
  • 5. Feedback Interviews with students Observations/findings 1st candidate liked solution 2 as it was more practical and S.M.A.R.T. Most people enjoyed the experience as long as they retained control over their actions. Nothing was forced. 2nd candidate felt that the anti-logic of asking repenting souls really would set them on the right path. The first solution was more innovative and required different type of thinking by both users. The walk through of the experience was done via play acting and process visualization. The Pretotyping exercise lead me to believe that we can improve the timing on solution 1 and thereby fine tune it for success, while 2nd OK.
