One of the great paradoxes of life is that, though we as humans generally like stability and resist change, it is only through change and adversity that we can grow and progress. In a day and age when change is completely pervasive in life, the current norm will likely be obsolete in just a few years—sooner, in many cases. The new Avatar of the ‘Customs House Agent’ as ‘Customs Broker’ will not be namesake. As much as Change is inevitable, each Change brings New Opportunities, and the Customs Brokers will need to look for New Horizons. Historically, the Customs Brokers have been adaptive species with an aptitude for attitudinal change and courage to face the reality. They have equipped themselves with the capabilities including professional infrastructure of well-trained and professional staff.
It is time ripe for each Customs Broker to ‘Create History’, and thus the theme - Customs Broker: New Paradigm, New Opportunities, New League.
The ‘Customs Broker’, aka ‘Custom House Agent’ has always been an important catalyst, playing a crucial role in facilitating trade around the World. Vast expansion in International Trade owes much to a revolution in transport sector and communications sector; equally, it owes to the international trade related professions, particularly those that facilitated the regulatory compliance as a bridge between the Customer and the Authorities. The Customs Broker has played a pivotal role, offering not just service of customs clearance, but in addition meeting every conceivable need of the customer by providing a wide array of complete logistics solutions packaged with other value- enhancing services and by assisting customers in duty drawback, trade and tariff matters, and further bringing about substantial synergies.

In the Adani-Hindenburg case, what is SEBI investigating.pptxAdani case
Adani SEBI investigation revealed that the latter had sought information from five foreign jurisdictions concerning the holdings of the firm’s foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) in relation to the alleged violations of the MPS Regulations. Nevertheless, the economic interest of the twelve FPIs based in tax haven jurisdictions still needs to be determined. The Adani Group firms classed these FPIs as public shareholders. According to Hindenburg, FPIs were used to get around regulatory standards.
Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs

Press Release on the 2012 Trinidad and Tobago Trade and Investment Convention
1. PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release: 24th May 2012

The SLCSI Spotlights Saint Lucia’s Services Sector at Trinidad’s Trade and Investment Convention
From 16th-19th May, Saint Lucia’s services sector took to the stage at the Trinidad and Tobago Trade and
Investment Convention. TIC was conceptualized by the Trinidad & Tobago Manufacturers Association
some 12 years ago and has traditionally focused on promoting trade in goods across the Caribbean and
Latin America by bringing buyers and sellers under a single roof to allow matchmaking and foster business
relationships between and amongst businessmen. As an annual event, TIC has gained immense support
particularly over the past few years by companies and government agencies across the region as a means
of helping business increase sales and bolster hiring in what has been a sluggish global economy
Representatives of National Services Coalitions with Caricom Secretary General Irwin LaRocque (fourth from right) following closed session at
TIC 2012 in Trinidad
According to Ms Dinah Hippolyte, the invitation extended to the SLCSI by organizers of TIC to participate in
this year’s exhibition demonstrates the growing importance of the Services sector in bolstering the region’s
economy and creating sustainable employment. Ms. Hippolyte pointed out that that whilst it was not
possible to have service providers attend the four day event, the SLCSI gave their members the opportunity
to promote their work by providing promotional material, particularly electronic videos, advertisements and
other promotional clips for display along with their business cards throughout the course of the exhibition.
The SLCSI was also invited to make a presentation on St. Lucia’s Services Sector during the event. Ms.
Hippolyte noted “of course we were delighted and I took the opportunity during my presentation to highlight
the developments taking place in the Sector as well as the regional and international work of some of our
service providers.
2. Speaking on the tangible benefits of participating at TIC, Ms. Hippolyte adds “what we have heard from our
members is that the most critical factors for success in the Services industry is credibility. TIC gave the
SLCSI the opportunity to send out a clear message that Saint Lucia has skilled, successful services
providers who are experienced, willing and eager to do business.”
The participation of the SLCSI at TIC was made possible through the support of the Caribbean Export
Development Agency and the GIZ Development Agency.
Ms. Hippolyte speaks with Jamaica Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Anthony Hylton.
