Proposal on:
Final Project Digital Artifact Submitted to:
The Future of Work: Preparing for Disruption
Repositioning for a Digital Revolution
Executive Summary
Technology has facilitated cumulative job increase but unfortunately Africa has not added job because
population growth rate overshadows and swallows up any increase. It is against this back ground that we
plan to launch a five year initiative in Nigeria to create 18 million jobs .
This becomes a strategic approach to prepare Nigeria to empower her teaming population to play an active
role in tackling its current development challenges and prepare to play and engaging role in the digital age .
The Project will address the following needs
 National bureau of Statistics (NBS), Nigeria has 20.9 million unemployed and 11.1 million under
employed
 Create Product and services that will address shortfall in human capacity in the country.
 Effectively use Information Technology user friendly interface to deliver market relevant capacity
building training with translation in local languages that will utilize community facilities and tribal and
economic associations as a channel of delivery
 Partner with Non Governmental organization and cooperate bodies on mutually beneficial terms to
reach more Nigerian population with services and product that will enhance their productivity .
 Facilitate policy advocacy that will ensure appropriate social protection as that is compactible with job
trend
 Facilitate increase in internally generated revenue as we partner with government at different level
 Ensure continues monitoring and evaluation to measure the level of achievement of project goals
The various areas of job creation is shown in the next slide
