IN THE BEGINING
Silverbird Group opened Its 5-screen Cinema in May 2004. It is located at the Silverbird Galleria in the centre of Victoria
Island, Lagos. It was the first cinema to operate in Lagos since the late 1970's, and the first multi-screen cinema in the
country. It stood for 5 years rivalling any multiplex found abroad.
In January 2009 Silverbird Group acquired the Ceddi Plaza 3- Screen Multiplex Abuja. This was followed by the opening
of the 8-Screen multiplex in Port Harcourt in April 2009. Situated at the former Obi Wali Cultural Centre, Mile 1 in the old
GRA, it quickly established itself as the entertainment centre of Port Harcourt and its environs.
