How did I attract my target audience?
The images that I have used are shown to attract my target audience I also allowed the artist to express themselves in other ways such as by doing other sorts of poses and not looking directly at the camera. With this case, the artist is looking at the wall of her life or memories and she appears to be rather comprehended by her wall of memories. This sort of technique of looking at other images of her is both pleasing to the eye in terms of how it looks and the values it is portraying. This could also attract young adults as they generally like to look back at their teen years as sort of a photo album in their minds or literally in an album so this way of having the main article would connect with that age group as well. Having the artist portray this sort of pose would be identified with the young audiences as they are stereotypically shown to be absent minded with a touch of attitude. For the artist to be looking at the camera directly would give the audience a sense of personal space as if the artist is invading in it, without actually doing anything at all in the first place.
The mise en scene of the magazine The costume that my artist had put on for this photo shoot was a leather studded jacket, with leopard patterned trousers and red lipstick on. All these clothing are connotations of having the rock star image. Leather jackets are always associated with having a rough edgy look and this fitted perfectly for my genre and target audience who prefer this sort of appearance. The leather jacket is also associated with an intimidating appearance who is generally not the one to follow the crowd and this is what my target audience is- people who are independent of their looks and not paranoid from people around them. The hairstyle of the artist also signifies a rock star look as it has fly always and it is dark. Usually people who listen to rock tend to have dark brown to black hair mainly due to associating them selves with the artists they generally listen to. the use of dark edgy cut hair and the clothing is similar as well
