- 2. FIRST COMPUTER. - The first computer was invented on the 14th of February 1945 by ENIAC by John Mauchly and J. Presper Eckert - The original computers usually would fill a whole room and was equal to 100 modern day computers. - The computers main command was to process simple packet information. - The first computer was very faulty and was later developed.
- 3. INTERNET. - With the development of the internet things became a lot more simpler. - The internet brought a great revolution to the way we shared data. - With the invention of the internet came heavy surveillance . - Then the malicious viruses came along and first appeared in 1971… „creeper‟. - The internet started being developed in the 1960‟s and was introduced to the public on august 6th 1991.
- 4. DO COMPUTERS CONTROL US? Computers and technology have become a huge part in everyday life, but are they in control us and what we think and believe? Technology is advancing everyday and becoming a bigger part of the human life. Some people may believe that technology and computers are just machines which makes everyday life and jobs easier. They make it so that less unskilled work needs to be done. That way, more people can do skilled jobs that make more money and raise our standard of living as a society. physicist Stephen Hawking said that: “Unless mankind redesigns itself by changing our DNA through altering our genetic makeup, computergenerated robots will take over our world”.
- 6. THUMBS DOWN COMPUTERS. Computers are a huge part of our lifestyle and we rely on them to much on some occasions for example: In the 1980s, a bug in the software of the Therac-25 radiation therapy machine was directly responsible for at least five deaths. In 1991 in Saudi Arabia, a bug in the software of the MIM-104 Patriot surface-to-air missile system led to an incoming Scud missile not being located, and indirectly to the death of 28 people. In 2007 in South Africa, a robotic anti-aircraft cannon accidentally killed nine people and injured 14 others.
- 7. THUMBS UP COMPUTERS. - Computers have brought amazing development with organization and work - With the forever advancing technology, computers have helped save lives with medical technology. - The computer has helped us stay connected with others along with the help of the Internet.
