1. What I learnt about technologies from the
process of constructing this product

2. For this task I used my brothers Nikon
d90 camera to take the original
photos that I have used within my
magazine. I very rarely use cameras
and so this gave me a chance to learn
how to use one carefully and feel
confident using it.

3. I then proceeded to
place the images from
the camera onto my
computer. The
computer I used was an
Apple Mac.

4. When all my Images were
placed onto my computer I
then went on to use Photo
Shop CS5.1 to manipulate my
images.
I used photo shop to mainly
take away the original
backgrounds to my photos and
replace them with white.

5. After that I then went on to
use Microsoft Word for Mac
to place my typography onto
the pages.
Out of all the technologies
used within this product I
found Microsoft Word the
most familiar and easiest to
use.

6. I also had to use a blog on the
internet to present my work. The
site is called Wordpress.com
I found working on a blog, to present my work, a
challenging experience as I had to get used to the way the
website worked and the method of posting images.
From using Wordpress I have learnt new ways in which I
can post images through other websites and I have learnt
how to take the images from my desktop and put them on
the internet.

7. Finally I uploaded the final images
onto Facebook to get an audience
response. Uploading images onto
social networks is a rarity for me, so
this gave me the chance to get used
to the way to upload them.

8. From this Media product I have had the chance to
use and experiment with different types of
technology.
The first thing I learnt was how to use the Nikon
d90 camera and how to take effective pictures
with it. I then had to learn how to place images
from camera onto a computer. This is something
that I have never done before and so I was able to
learn something new that can benefit me in the
future.
I also gained new skills by practicing photo
manipulation on photoshop. I feel that through
this magazine creation I have learned how to use
the appropriate technology and after practicing I
can now use it confidently.
