The document discusses how to effectively search for information related to an essay topic. It advises that searching on only one keyword may return too broad results, while searching on every word is too narrow. The best strategy is to identify the main topic keywords and search using those terms combined with AND to focus the search results. Using this method allows finding relevant information while avoiding results that are either too broad or too narrow in scope.
This document discusses how social media and nutrition blogs/tweets can positively impact the world. It notes that social media allows for (1) tailored learning through connecting with like-minded people globally and accessing tailored information, (2) empowering oneself and one's business through technology, and (3) acting by learning from experience on social media rather than just theory. The document provides tips for using social media effectively as an individual or for one's company, such as listening, responding in real-time, demonstrating expertise, and empowering employee voices within guidelines.

This document discusses the potential for an emerging education revolution through internet protocol (IP) networks in schools and homes. Key points include:
1) IP networks allow for cost-efficient and measurable content delivery to select audiences.
2) This model of on-demand learning content is not entirely new, building on existing examples like iTunes U, TED talks, and Khan Academy.
3) An Education On Demand (EOD) network could be created to deliver fresh, up-to-date video content from the cloud to multiple schools.
4) EOD offers benefits like targeted knowledge distribution, accessibility anywhere on demand, two-way information sharing, and updated content reaching millions of students.
Challenges in Surveying the Deep Sea using Acoustic Remote Sensing and Remote...COGS Presentations
This document discusses the challenges of surveying the deep sea using acoustic remote sensing and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). Obtaining high resolution data at fine spatial scales is difficult due to issues with positioning systems on ROVs and the cumulative errors from different positioning sources. Precisely co-registering ROV-collected multibeam bathymetry, video, and motion data is challenging due to errors from the vessel's GPS, acoustic positioning of the ROV, uncertainties in the ROV's configuration, platform motion, timing synchronization between datasets, and data logging frequency. Overcoming these errors is important for mapping seafloor habitats and distributions of biological species at fine spatial scales.

This document summarizes a project between Barnardo's, a charity supporting sexually exploited youth, and Pro Bono Economics, which matches economists with charities. The project analyzed outcome data from 539 youth to assign monetary values to risk factors like going missing or substance abuse. It found Barnardo's interventions significantly reduced lifetime costs associated with risks, with potential savings of six times the intervention costs compared to youth without intervention. The project provided learning around free projects having costs to charities in terms of scope and data collection. It's important methodology and assumptions are conservative and transparent so everyone understands what the report can conclude.
This presentation is a simple explain of Bionanoimaging which introduce this area completely. You can use this PPTx File to present in your class and seminars as well. I prepare this file to present in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences when I was a MSc Medical Nanotechnology student. It will be useful for you too.

SKEIN for FE provides a robust external evaluation of a college's continuing professional development and learning (CPDL) provision against international benchmarks. The evaluation involves collecting evidence from existing documents, staff surveys, and interviews during a one day visit. This results in a diagnostic report identifying strengths and weaknesses according to six benchmarks: collaboration, use of expertise, use of evidence, needs analysis, and leadership of professional learning. The evaluation helps colleges improve teaching quality and enhances Ofsted evidence by linking staff learning to student learning. It also identifies effective practices and next steps for development.
This document summarizes the inaugural issue of the CTiG (Computed Tomography Interest Group) Newsletter. It introduces the committee members and chairman of CTiG. It provides a message from the chairman emphasizing CTiG's role in bringing researchers together and promoting development in the field of computed tomography. It also summarizes the First National Seminar-Workshop on Computed Tomography, organized by CTiG in collaboration with other organizations. The document discusses the need for a 3D modeling tool based on UML for aspect-oriented software development. It notes that current UML diagrams do not adequately represent the weaving of aspects into base models. A 3D tool could represent cross-cutting concerns as a third dimension to better track how aspects affect models during development. The document also provides background on aspect-oriented programming concepts like pointcuts, advices, and weaving, and examples of how aspects can be modeled in UML.
