This document discusses different graphic styles used in video games including cell shading, exaggeration, photorealism, and abstraction. Cell shading is used to make games appear like cartoons or comics. Exaggeration is used to make games feel unrealistic and out of the ordinary. Photorealism aims to make games look as realistic as possible by imitating real people and places. Abstraction uses abstract and minimalist graphics that are simpler to interpret than photorealistic graphics. Examples are provided for each style discussing how they impact the player experience.
