This document summarizes environmental education programs in secondary schools in Greece. It discusses how the Ministry of Education supports these programs through environmental education officers and centers. These centers design and implement programs for students on topics like biodiversity and local products. They also produce educational materials and collaborate nationally and internationally. Several example programs are described, such as school gardens created at multiple high schools in Athens to study plant growth and sell products. Seminars on natural farming techniques were also held for teachers.

•Recording and showcasing local products, characteristics of a
region, the microclimate of the human geography or some other
factor makes them particularly or uniquely.
•The study of the production, maintenance, processing, packing,
distribution and consumption goods at household, community
or regionally to promote solutions, where possible, are in the
direction of environmental protection, mitigate the distance
producer - consumer support food self-sufficiency and
independence of local communities to avoid or overcome
financial, social or humanitarian crises.
