11. How We Can Help You
Case Study: Medical Facility in Cleveland, OH
We Manage Your Projects Every Step of the Way
Challenge: Came to us because they
needed to prototype an aorta to figure out
how to perform a complex surgery in the
most non-invasive way possible.
Solution: Custom cut their file and added
pin holes, so that they would be able to
take it apart when needed, and did a
supreme clear finish so they could see
inside.
12. Case Study: Large Medical Company based in Wisconsin
Need Your Project Monday? Not a Problem.
Challenge: Current supplier of one of
their parts could not meet their
deadlines. They called our president at
home on a Saturday about an
emergency need for these parts.
Solution: We had people come in over
the weekend, program the machines
and run the parts for them. They
received the parts Monday morning.
13. Value analysis through part design review
Case Study: Medical implant company in Cleveland, OH
Challenge: They need to make models of
complex patient implants from CT scans. These
jobs are all unique and time sensitive—surgery
needs to be done quickly.
Solution: We review the files and discuss
complex areas that may need to be removed if
they are not needed or cause failure of the
model. The corrected files are run as SLA
models in SL-7810 material. The use of these
SLA’s cuts down surgery by 8-12 hours.
14. One Stop Shop: Design Through Production
Case Study: Optical company in Kent, OH
Challenge: Came to us with a new eyewear concept looking for design
assistance. The customer had the technology that their customer was
looking for but didn’t know the best way to design the part.
Solution: Our engineering team designed the part for best molding
purposes. We also made material and process recommendations tailored
to what they would be ultimately using the parts for. Then we
prototyped the parts to be functional to test in the field. The customer
came back to us with their customer’s feedback and the production
version is being refined.
15. We Take Pride in Being Part of Your Team
Case Study: Airfoil manufacturer in Wickliffe, OH
Challenge: The customer wanted a local
manufacturer to EDM burn their airfoils.
Contacted us and said if we invested in the
equipment and Nadcap certification, they
would move the work to the US.
Solution: Purchased multiple EDM
machines to accommodate their needs
and got our Nadcap certification. We work
around their schedule—They provide the
airfoils as needed, and we burn 300-700
airfoils a day.
