• For the flash backs of George's past, it will be in Reigate College to help
show the school atmosphere, certain flashbacks will happen in different
areas of the college, such as the refectory and some class rooms.
• We will not need any permissions to film out of the college but may just need
to check with teachers if we can use there classrooms, as well as making
sure we have permission from anyone in the backgrounds of the scenes.

the shadows.

6. How?
• Genre Conventions – The genre conventions of a Psychological Thriller are
to create tension and excitement.
• Attracting Target Audience – We will attract our target audience by making
the film relevant and appropriate for the people in our TA.
• Mood Atmosphere creations – to create mood and atmosphere we will use
low key lighting to create an eerie and negative atmosphere. In the scene
were Sully is tied up we will have a strong spotlight on his face to create
dramatic shadows around him to also conceal George's identity.

8. How? Camerawork
• Quick camera movements will be used in the film to build up tension and
panic and also allow the audience to feel the same emotions as the
character.
• Flashbacks are a convention of psychological thrillers as it shows what has
happened previously to give an insight into the characters past.
• Key shots will happen in the flashbacks was it will show what had
previously happened to George. As well as switching between the present
with close ups of George whilst he recites his rhyme, these close ups will
give a distorted view of George which will provoke fear in the audience.
9. Sound
• We will use a variety of both diegetic and non-diegetic sounds in our film
opening.
• Diegetic sounds: voices of characters and sounds of objects in the scenes.
• Non-diegetic sounds: sounds added in whilst editing to create a dramatic feel
and music.
10. Post Production
• We will edit our film opening to fit the conventions of a Psychological
Thriller.
• As well as this we will add titles to the film to show industry information.
We will do this in a style used most by thrillers to create an eerie and moody
atmosphere.

someone who's past changes them and they become a sociopath because of it.
