Present Perfect Continuos This verb form is used when want to emphasize the action itself rather than the result, not clear whether the action is completed or not (action started in the past and may eventually terminate or even go on.) I Have Been reading a book (I emphasize what I've been doing does not indicate whether I finished the book or not)
This time is also used to indicate the duration of an action that began in the past (and just completed or still ongoing .)
Simple Past Simple past tense is used to talk about completed actions in the past. As refer to measures that have already occurred Begin End Past
