Fade in from black to show a corridor with double doors at the end. Two teenagers enter through one of the doors, one holding
it open for the other. They are in the middle of a conversation.
TEEN 1
-looked at bus times and there’s one that goes at 4.55 but that’ll get there at 5.30 so I don’t know...
TEEN 2
That’s so early! Can’t we just take the train?
TEEN 1 [shrugging]
Train’s more expensive and we’d have to walk from the station, plus I don’t know my way round so I think it’ll just be a lot of
effort. Besides, we can look round some shops and stuff - it’s not like there’ll be nothing to do.
They enter a room and sitoppositeeach other ata table. They take books and pens out of their bags and begin working, still
conversing.
TEEN 2
Ok well let’s book two singles for the coach then, can your dad still pick us up afterwards?
TEEN 1
Yeah I think so, what time shall I tell him to pick us up?
TEEN 2
Uh… say half ten but text him half an hour before the concert ends or something just in case it finishes earlier or later or
whatever. I think we’re meeting Sophie and the others outside the station but I don’t know what time they’ll get there.
TEEN 1
That’s fine, we can ring them when we arrive. Make sure you charge your phone before we go.
TEEN 2 [dismissively]
I will, I will.
TEEN 1 [laughing]
Cool. You’ve printed the actual concert tickets off right?
[Silence]
TEEN 1
You’re joking.
TEEN 2
I’ve been busy! I’ll do it before we go!
TEEN 1
[Sighs]
