This document is the yearbook for the class of 2011-2013 at Praxis Business School. It includes photos of the graduating class and faculty. Many students praise the faculty for their teaching ability, approachability, and for helping students beyond just academics. Prof. Srinivas Govindrajan Dean, Praxis Business School Gaurav Talwar Says.. amazing teacher...who can also be a friend whenever required... lobe his attitude towards life... Sumit Says.. A man with the golden heart. The best thing about him is he never forgets any of his students. He is the Dean of Praxis but he enjoys and parties the most with the students. No biasness to anyone. I have never found his class boring. Ganesh Says.. To the point padhate hain and apna kaam se kaam rakht hain...and no 1 sales man i have come across.." We don't need no...“ Punit Says.. Reasons are many but if few are to be mentioned, Signature Pose for pictures in every party, MM1 Quiz 4 and Mogambo Khush Hua takes the show Spandan Says.. Making him happy was the toughest job, but that was the best job to be done ever Abhishek Says.. I don't know where to start and where to end basically an unbiased professor with lot of energy while teaching his students, his jokes, his way of approach to make people understand statistics are of his great quality. Although through the two years I had interacted very less with him and that he had always been tha guy who was the most straight forward and to the point and always forward looking. Vignesh Says.. Apart from the urge to top his class which I lost to Sankha very closely, there were many other things that I enjoyed. From his witty comments to the discussions about Federer & cricket to the time working with him on Quizzes to the Valentines' day date.:P ; A learning & eventful experiences that I will cherish any day. Spandan Says.. I came to praxis because of him... Sonam Says.. Though I didnt had so much talks directly. but ur ideas & way of thinking & communicating with people helped me a lot. Prof. Manaswee Samal Praxis Business School Gurcharan Says.. Gem of a person and a true mentor Mona Says.. I don't know why manasvi sir is my favourite.neither his classes nor his subjects ever interested me.I am strictly not a finance person and so his subject gave me a nightmare.also, I never appreciated his views regarding management students.but still some aura of authenticity was always there on his face which showed.he is honest to his profession and seems a man of words.that's why he is my favourite teacher. Rohit Says.. He spend less time on teaching the subject but more time on pushing/motivating the students Devdeep Says.. HIS STYLE OF TEACHING IMMEDIATELY CAUGHT MY ATTENTION. HIS EXPLANATION AND RE EXPLANATIONS, THANKS TO BLANK FACES IN THE CROWD:). HE WAS THE PERSON WHO MADE ME UNDERSTAND THAT DR AND CR WAS A THEORY AND THEIR WAS A BETTER WAY TO UNDERSTAND ACCOUNTS. Though all the faculties @ Praxis are too gud but my favourite faculty was Malabika Mam as she used to understand me and motivate me a lot as I was very introvert and she used to always appreciate me for whatever I do and boost my confidence....thank you mam!!! :) Soummyaditya Says.. FUN……… Can’t find any other word to describe her. FUN is what we all had and even some won’t agree it but also won’t deny it that we had her classes labeled as true fun in our minds. A truly whole hearted person who taught us to create fun out of the simplest of things. Also that she gave us (specially the girls) a chance to look good as you had to be dressed us good in HR presentations. It was those psychometric tests where everyone was equal and extroverts became introverts and vice versa Shubhankar Says..You are a blessing to the students.. Its because of your assignment “Who am I”, I came to know more about myself.. You are perfect teacher who judged students based upon their attitude rather than aptitude.. Thank you Ma’m.. Mona Says.. OB Classes of Malvika Ma’am were always a time of Masti for us. Her classes were just like the stressbusters. Her jolly and kind nature always forced me to attend the OB classes. Although we Praxites took so much liberty but we loved and respected Malvika Ma’am like anything. Her liberal marks in HR subjects helped us to secure better grades in first year and honestly speaking it was really a big relief. Securing an A and A+ grade in OB classes after a D and D+ in Finance Classes was something similar to offer a full glass of cold and sweet water to a person thirsty from days.:)I don’t know about others but I felt something similar. She was kind and hence was so dear to us. She always spread smile and that’s why loads of love to Malvika Ma’am!
Prof. Anindra Haldar Praxis Business School Debasish Says.. I don't know where to start and where to end basically an unbiased professor with lot of energy while teaching his students, his jokes, his way of approach to make people understand statistics are of his great quality. You approach him with your problem you will surely never return empty handed. Soummyaditya Says.. Only if we got to learn from this guy more as he was only a part of our Praxis experience for a short period of time, but within that time we learnt not only Marketing Management but a lot more about life. A serious man with a hint of humor, witty and bold was the talk about him but then again all that was just “rumor”. Mining Engineer was the phrase and literally mine into everyone’s heart with his warm gaze. All that being said A Great Man with the heart of a Lion. Mona Says.. I believe that you should be a good student to become a good teacher and so can firmly say that Haldar Sir was a good student .His in depth knowledge of Marketing Subject always amused us. "Aap bataiye" - used to come as a thunderbolt in the pin drop silent class and we would all start to scratch our head to find an answer.I was not so good in your courses but i loved the way you used to teach especially derivatives. I tried completing the books "Guns,Traders and Money" though some parts of it just went above my head.Though am in no way related to Forex, derivatives and the other courses in my current job but I still wish to learn more about the subject from you if I ever get a chance.Thank you Sir.
Prof. Atanu Ghosh Praxis Business School Adnan Says… you made me think really hard as to how to make logical decision and how everything happens around us happens because of some reason and it is important to know these reasons to be succeed Soummyaditya Says.. Only if humble was a man, if knowledge was a name, if passion was a pill and if success was just a turn of a switch we would talk only of one man we met on our journey in those two years in Praxis. A pool of knowledge but without the arrogance who never stopped at helping anyone with all he knew. Only a few classes where we saw him talking out of the picture but always made sure he taught with his full heart, even when all of us were not listening. A true definition of following your passion so if you had any question about the “Chain” i.e. supply chain he was the one to ask. A true genius and role model about how to follow your heart and just keep on going till you reach there. Shubhankar Says.. You are a teacher who keeps on inspiring me..You are one of the more patient teachers I have seen in life..It was truly an immense pleasure to be your student.. The most approachable faculty for our batch.... The person who made MR interesting and understandable..... And how can we forget the jamming sessions during parties..... Piyush Sir.. The only faculty who came across to be a professor/friend/philosopher/Guide.He has been in touch after Praxis..I live his company Avishek Sir.. Very close to students and concerned about them until he starts to sing and plays guitar during parties, literally the party ends there :P Kushal Says.. for obvious reasons, we have so much in common and he treated us better than most other profs. Spandan Says.. PD- My Mentor... Sumedha Says.. Learnt all about market research from him.... he was more like a mentor than a faculty... he gelled up with our batch in such a way as if he was not our faculty but our senior. Best Experience Of Praxis Everything was good about that experience. The whole 2 years @ Praxis was a very good experience for me as I had learnt a lot from this place.. A few scared souls entered the Praxis gate Uncertain of what is written in their fate The campus welcomed us with open arms Scenic beauty around having trees like Coconut & Palm For few it was the first time staying away from parents Others had experience of being hostilities or tenants Four-Storey building was our home for the next two year Slowly hostilities became friends & few are still very dear Assignments, Quizzes & projects was the prelude Had a Hard time during the first sem adjusting to the tough schedule Then came the day when our scary seniors arrived Classes during day & PDP in the night these are initial days on which campus thrived Came the night when we were divided in different house as a bunch Ujjaini, Nalanda, & Takshila fought it hard to win the Rangmanch 84 Those Praxis Days..
85 Arrival of the Election was not very far Manifestos were prepared to win the war Fun of election party & fear of internship interviews soon gripped Companies came & went instigated feelings hope & rejection which often flipped Everyone toiled hard during their internship to prove a point Preparing everything from Balance Sheet in Finance to MR’s conjoint Return to praxis as seniors was welcoming PDP of juniors was forthcoming Tension of Final Placement soon overtook the campus The things that gave pleasure were Beer, Hookah, Hog-up Dada’s meals & Santu Da’s Canteen fuss No one can forget the joy and thrashing when got placed Although no-one actual thanked people like Harish Sir, Sanniti Ma’am, Tarun Da & other staffs those were helpful in the tough times we faced Purani Jeans & Another Brick in the Wall gave us a new meaning Will always miss those carefree Praxis days spent without anyone’s intervening.. - Shubhankar Sengupta

A man with the golden heart. The best thing about him is he never forgets any of his students. He is the Dean of Praxis but he enjoys and parties the most with the students. No biasness to anyone. I have never found his class boring. Ganesh Says.. To the point padhate hain and apna kaam se kaam rakht hain...and no 1 sales man i have come across.." We don't need no...“ Punit Says.. Reasons are many but if few are to be mentioned, Signature Pose for pictures in every party, MM1 Quiz 4 and Mogambo Khush Hua takes the show Spandan Says.. OB Classes of Malvika Ma’am were always a time of Masti for us. Her classes were just like the stressbusters. Her jolly and kind nature always forced me to attend the OB classes. Although we Praxites took so much liberty but we loved and respected Malvika Ma’am like anything. Her liberal marks in HR subjects helped us to secure better grades in first year and honestly speaking it was really a big relief. Securing an A and A+ grade in OB classes after a D and D+ in Finance Classes was something similar to offer a full glass of cold and sweet water to a person thirsty from days.:)I don’t know about others but I felt something similar. She was kind and hence was so dear to us. She always spread smile and that’s why loads of love to Malvika Ma’am!

The feeling of togetherness and oneness is what i miss today. We had differences, we fought , we cried, we laughed, celebrated, enjoyed, drank and lived happily together. Be it the classroom or the hostel room, it was always like a party... Abhishek Says.. Preparing for Khoj,Rangmanch and other events used to be fun.The e-weeks used to be very exciting with lots of food around.Actually there are a lot of moments worth cherishing but all the events can't find a mention here, space is limited :P Richa Says..     A few scaredsouls entered the Praxis gate Uncertain of what is written in their fate The campus welcomed us with open arms Scenic beauty around having trees like Coconut & Palm For few it was the first time staying away from parents Others had experience of being hostilities or tenants Four-Storey building was our home for the next two year Slowly hostilities became friends & few are still very dear Assignments, Quizzes & projects was the prelude Had a Hard time during the first sem adjusting to the tough schedule Then came the day when our scary seniors arrived Classes during day & PDP in the night these are initial days on which campus thrived Came the night when we were divided in different house as a bunch Ujjaini, Nalanda, & Takshila fought it hard to win the Rangmanch 84 Those Praxis Days..

    85 Arrival of theElection was not very far Manifestos were prepared to win the war Fun of election party & fear of internship interviews soon gripped Companies came & went instigated feelings hope & rejection which often flipped Everyone toiled hard during their internship to prove a point Preparing everything from Balance Sheet in Finance to MR’s conjoint Return to praxis as seniors was welcoming PDP of juniors was forthcoming Tension of Final Placement soon overtook the campus The things that gave pleasure were Beer, Hookah, Hog-up Dada’s meals & Santu Da’s Canteen fuss No one can forget the joy and thrashing when got placed Although no-one actual thanked people like Harish Sir, Sanniti Ma’am, Tarun Da & other staffs those were helpful in the tough times we faced Purani Jeans & Another Brick in the Wall gave us a new meaning Will always miss those carefree Praxis days spent without anyone’s intervening.. - Shubhankar Sengupta
