This report and its recommendations represent the outcome of a tremendous amount of work by

Implementation of lean helps many organizations to improve their productivity and efficiency; on the other hand number of organizations has failed to benefit from lean philosophy. The case of not achieving the expected results of implementing lean is not because of limitation of lean to specific organizations type; but it is the misconception of lean philosophy. The lean thinking was first implied in the automobile companies and it widely spreads within the all types of industries; however the today's challenge is to implement the lean philosophy within continuous manufacturing industries and different organizations regardless to the type and size of the organization. This has motivated me to apply lean philosophy to the continuous industry i.e. cement industry. The cement industry is an example of the continuous industry sector and it will be used to convey that the lean philosophy is applicable to all deferent organization types. There are many problems the cement industry facing in today's cut throat competition; one of the major challenges is the capability of the cement industry to adopt techniques by which the overall improvement can be achieved. The need for improving the productivity of the cement production line is to reduce the downtime rates, and satisfy high demands of consumers. This research has aimed that the lean philosophy is beneficial to cement industry once the organization aims, and objectives are clarified and communicated through all levels of the organization. Furthermore barriers and obstacles should be removed by changing the organizational culture, and empowering the people to be involved in identifying and problem solving process.

A green supply chain aims at confining the wastes within the industrial system so as to conserve energy and prevent the dissipation of harmful materials into the environment. Frequently researches in study on drivers of Green Supply Chain Management are criticized for its narrow perspectives and lack of industrial relevance. So, it is a real need to find improved processes for adoption and implementation of Green practices Green image in Manufacturing Industries. In the current competitive scenario, the driver of Green Supply Chain Management assumes a significant importance and call for serious research attention. The aim of this paper is to examining the Green practices in the selected Indian Manufacturing Companies. The main objectives of this paper are to gain critical and crucial drivers for implementation of Green Supply Chain Management in Indian Manufacturing Industries in various sectors likewise, two wheeler, four wheeler, and General Manufacturing sector wise companies. This paper has attempted to fill the gaps in the contemporary research in the study on drivers of Green Supply Chain Management in selected Indian corporate sectors. It is observed that Driver, DF10 i.e. ‘Employees Motivation, health & Safety’ have more important and crucial for adoption of GSCM for 2-wheeler industries. It is also observed that Driver DF1 i.e. ‘Government rules & legislation’ have more important and crucial for adoption of GSCM for 4-wheeler industries. But it is also observed that Driver DF2 i.e. ‘environmental concerns and legislation; DF7 i.e. customer awareness, pressure & support; DF12 i.e. organizational capabilities and awareness; and DF14 i.e. global climate pressure and ecological; respectively have equal importance and crucial for adoption of GSCM for general manufacturing companies. Measuring the Dependence of Fuel Efficiency of Automobiles on Different Factors
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to develop a multiple regression model for measuring the miles per gallon (Efficiency) by using different independent variables. How much the efficiency in terms of miles per gallon is dependent on engine displacement, horsepower, vehicle weight, model year, number of cylinders, and filters? Which is the most important variable for increasing the efficiency of automobiles? The answers of these questions are the objectives of this paper. The results indicate that model year has positive effect on efficiency of vehicle while horse power, vehicle weight, and filters have negative impact on vehicle’s efficiency. Results also specify that vehicle weight has the maximum impact on miles per gallon while horsepower has the minimum impact.

Measuring the Dependence of Fuel Efficiency of Automobiles on Different Factors
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to develop a multiple regression model for measuring the miles per gallon (Efficiency) by using different independent variables. How much the efficiency in terms of miles per gallon is dependent on engine displacement, horsepower, vehicle weight, model year, number of cylinders, and filters? Which is the most important variable for increasing the efficiency of automobiles? The answers of these questions are the objectives of this paper. The results indicate that model year has positive effect on efficiency of vehicle while horse power, vehicle weight, and filters have negative impact on vehicle’s efficiency. Results also specify that vehicle weight has the maximum impact on miles per gallon while horsepower has the minimum impact.

Prediction of Electrical Energy Efficiency Using Information on Consumer's Ac...
Energy efficiency has been important since the latter part of the last century. The main object of this survey is to determine the energy efficiency knowledge among consumers. Two separate districts in Bangladesh are selected to conduct the survey on households and showrooms about the energy and seller also. The survey uses the data to find some regression equations from which it is easy to predict energy efficiency knowledge. The data is analyzed and calculated based on five important criteria. The initial target was to find some factors that help predict a person's energy efficiency knowledge. From the survey, it is found that the energy efficiency awareness among the people of our country is very low. Relationships between household energy use behaviors are estimated using a unique dataset of about 40 households and 20 showrooms in Bangladesh's Chapainawabganj and Bagerhat districts. Knowledge of energy consumption and energy efficiency technology options is found to be associated with household use of energy conservation practices. Household characteristics also influence household energy use behavior. Younger household cohorts are more likely to adopt energy-efficient technologies and energy conservation practices and place primary importance on energy saving for environmental reasons. Education also influences attitudes toward energy conservation in Bangladesh. Low-education households indicate they primarily save electricity for the environment while high-education households indicate they are motivated by environmental concerns.

- 2. IMPLEMENTATION OF ACCELERATED POLICY-DRIVEN SUSTAINABILITY TRANSITIONS: CASE OF BHARAT STAGE 4 TO 6 LEAPFROGS IN INDIA

ABSTRACT:- We identify the reasons for which incumbent industry and business actors might support Accelerated policy driven sustainability transitions (APDST) and weather their support can suffice for implementation. It also assume support from other incumbent regime actors like the industries and business.

Introduction:- According to pressing environmental challenges , transitioning away from unsustainable consumption and production patterns This process is fast as possible is a necessary Governments play a stewarding role in addressing these challenges they are increasingly pledging to achieve sustainability transitions within a pre-determined timeline

Literature Review:- 1: The transition studies propose framework to harness sustainable development through technologies, practices, and governance. 2: the transition studies gained traction in the 1990s, they have taken holistic approaches towards comprehending change, accumulating insights about transformative systemic. 3:During the past three decades, transition theories have matured through gaining additional insight from multiple theoretical approaches.
- 6. 4. Case Study:- 1:The booming cities in India are facing many pressing environment challenges. One is the alarming levels of air pollution. 2:In India, the number of privately owned vices is one of the root cause of air pollution. Each year, over 2 million cars and two-wheeled vehicles are sold within the country. 3:The majority of these vehicles are internal combustion engine (ICE)-driven. Inefficient ICE powertrains emit high levels of pollutants like hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, Sulphur oxide, and particulate matter.

Research Method:- 1: This research examined the implementation of APDST by assessing the actor strategies in response to the enacted the BS4 to BS6 vehicles emission control transition in India. 2:Before examining the actor strategies towards the concerned transition, examining the political landscape for the development of mission control norms was perceived essential, in line with section 2.6. 3:This method, combined with the historic analysis of vehicle emission control standard, enabled us to identify automotive regime actors that can be representative of the incumbent automotive industry supply chain.
- 8. 6. Advantage of BS-6:- 1. It is eco – friendly. 2. It is more refined. 3. It is more cleaner. 4. Decrease the atmospheric pollution and improves the air quality. 5. It is equipped with fuel infusion resulting in better throttle response & fuel efficiency. 6. It contain 50 parts per million (ppm) Sulphur, but the BS-6 grade fuel consists of only 10 ppm Sulphur content.
- 9. 7. Disadvantages of BS-6:- 1. The major disadvantage is that when driving at full throttle is poor combustion in case of small engine sizes and bad turbocharges. 2. It is very higher cost 3. It required More maintenance
- 10. 8. Advantage of BS-4 :- 1. Consistent headlight intensity. 2. More balanced and equilibrated. 3. Better configured. 4. More solid body with heavy chassis. 5. Good acceleration and less fuel consumption (since BS3 vehicles are more aged thus need more maintenance and care)
- 11. 9. Disadvantages of BS-4;- 1. Not more efficient as BS3 (proper maintenance may overcome it) 2. Less durable and more prone to heavy loss in normal accidents. 3. More costly.
