Project Description:
‘AVIVA’ is a leading service provider in the fields of general insurance, life and pensions and retail
fund management currently operating in UK. This market leader owns a fleet of high quality
customized software solutions and has the keen focus on benefiting its end customers through the
use of concurrent technological advancements.
AVIVA took PMSC Series III OS/2 systems in 90's and customized it to suite their requirements
and started using only some of the Series III sub-systems and the product was called Next 200
(N200). They made strategic decision to browser enable all their legacy systems and developed
N201 on Gesa (In-house) architecture. In 2003 Norwich Union started the initiative to bring their
Claims and Policy Administration systems onto Exceed for IB users.
Current strategic program is to bring NU Direct business to Exceed based systems. This is a
consolidation exercise for extensively diversified NU software systems and it’ll result into
decommissioning of some of the existing systems.
