Over 2 million people worldwide and 14,000 in Toledo are affected by multiple sclerosis. The City of Toledo will hold its annual Walk MS on Sunday, April 19th starting at 8am at the University of Toledo's Health Education building. Participants can choose to walk either 1, 5, or 10 mile routes through the neighborhoods of Ottawa Hills. Proceeds from the event will support research and programs to help those battling MS, a disease that affects the central nervous system.
Participating in the 2014 Kansas City Walk to End Alzheimer’s Bradley DiTeresi
Bradley DiTeresi, a long-time resident of Kansas City, remains active in the community through his local parish and community events. As a benefactor of the Alzheimer’s Association, Bradley DiTeresi also works to raise awareness about this chronic and degenerative condition that affects one of every nine Americans over the age of 65.
An experienced business leader, Daniel Krasnick currently leads as the president of Taxes for Teachers PA and 1 on 1 Math Coaching, both of which are based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Daniel Krasnick also contributes to his community by supporting a number of charitable organizations, such as the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.

The walk starts at the University of Toledo’s Health Education building and goes through the
neighborhoods of Ottawa Hills. You can register to walk, but registration is not needed to
participate in the event.
“My girlfriend has MS and I know that showing my support for her, and other people with
multiple sclerosis, means a lot to her,” Chaz Whittaker said.
Proceeds raised at the event will benefit research and programs that support those who are
fighting the disease that affects their central nervous system.
“Living with MS is often a struggle, but it’s an amazing feeling when you get to see the support
from your family, friends, and the community,” Patti Sochacki, who is currently battling the MS
disease, said.
