Washington Trust CEO Joseph MarcAurele and five other executives served lunch to over 200 people in need at McAuley House as part of their "Lunch on Us" program, where organizations sponsor meals and send employees to volunteer. Washington Trust donated $5,000 to allow McAuley House to continue providing food, clothing and shelter. The bank has supported the program for two years and over a dozen executives will volunteer in the next two weeks. MarcAurele said that as Rhode Island's largest independent bank, Washington Trust is committed to helping neighbors in need during tough economic times.
