The study compares reticulocyte counts using two automated hematology analyzers, the Coulter® LH785 and Sysmex® XT-4000i, with a traditional method involving 1% brilliant cresyl blue staining. Results show that both automated methods have strong correlation coefficients (0.889 and 0.936) against the traditional method, indicating they can improve workflow efficiency and reduce turnaround time for reticulocyte analysis. The findings suggest that these new technologies perform comparably to traditional methods while mitigating the need for manual processes and specialized skills.
