1. Post 19- Time Management
Statement Of Intention: When creating my statement of intention, I specifically made sure it
was crucial I worked on it for at least 20 minutes every day making sure I put as much detail and
explanation in it as possible. I did this because I wanted it to be shown in the video, I am going
to create which will hopefully be achieved. I started writing my statement of intention on the
28th of
November and finished it on the 2nd of
December. I specifically also set myself a deadline
target for the 2nd of
December to completely finish the statement.
Pre-Production Planning: When creating all the pieces of Paperwork, this took me a lot longer
to complete as I needed to figure out what ideas/ content I was going to include in my Tiktok
video. Saying this I also needed to figure out who I wanted to include in my video alongside
myself, so I had more than one POV in the video. I started my planning also with my statement
of intention on the 28th of
November. Furthermore, I had to make sure I used an equal amount
of time for all the paperwork, so it was all completed to the best quality and included everything
from the brief. For all m planning I spent 20 minutes checking to see if anything needed adding
or took away and gave myself the deadline of the 4th of
December which I have managed to
reach ad achieve.
Pre-Production- Sourcing Materials: I already have the right to use some contents in my video.
Tiktok has a copyright licence meaning I can use different text styles and any type of music in
the background of the video if I get those off the app. The materials I have gathered were some
sound effects off non-royalty websites and some images. I only allowed myself to spend 30
minutes on this and completed it in 2 days as TikTok provides most of the materials I needed to
shoot the video. I started working on this on the 29th of
November and finished it on the 30th of
November. As I was completing this work the same time as my planning, I prioritized my pre-
production planning first as it was more important to get finished as there was many
components that I needed to include to match the brief.
Preparation Of Materials: I had to make sure that I filmed everything I needed for the video as
that is the main part. By saying this I organised a day where me and Ria were able to film
together. Me and Ria were able to film on the 5th of
December. This took time so I gathered all
the other materials such as downloading the sound effects and the logo I created beforehand so
I wouldn’t struggle too much for short deadlines. I set myself the deadline of the 6th of
December. I only gave myself a short amount of time as I can edit the video via Tiktok and most
of the components I need I can get from the app e.g. Sound (music) and text styles.
Considerations Appropriate To The Sector: Creating a TikTok I need to make sure I follow their
rules and regulations, so my video does not get copyrighted or my account gets banned. What I
did to avoid this issue is to research it on their website and I watched a video on Tiktok to make
sure my video was okay to create. I felt relieved when creating the video as there was nothing I
needed to remove or add to the video which saved time. I had given myself 2 days (5th
-6th
December) to complete the video as a whole. I was able to complete this task quite quickly
because I made sure that my planning paperwork was all completed before I started to
complete any other tasks, so I was focused on what was more important and organised my work
so I could get it completed on time.
2. Date Activities On reflection, what could
have you done to perform
this activity better?
20/10/22 Primary and Secondary
research to generate ideas
To start getting a clear idea
of what kind of services I
should be creating, I created
a questionnaire on Microsoft
forms using my self-
evaluation skills and sent it
out to the whole of my
Creative Media Class. These
skills were necessary as I had
to evaluate my own ideas.
This was sent out to different
age groups and genders to
gather a clear indication to
see which one is more
popular and fits the best with
different ideas. Reflecting on
this questionnaire, also using
my self-evaluation skills, I
could of asked some more in
depth and asked more to get
a deeper understanding to
what my target audience was
looking for. Some of the
questions were mainly based
around the whole concept of
Disney. It could have been
better if given mire topics
which I should’ve included in
the video. Some of the
questions were mainly based
around gender, while this
helps in generating the
service, it does not narrow
more ideas. Furthermore, the
questionnaire did help with
finding a little more of what
my audience wanted to see.
As for secondary research, I
listened to other creators on
TikTok whom where basing
their service on different
movies such as Star Wars,
Avengers, Disney etc. This
helped me narrow down my
ideas to create a show for my
Disney review TikTok video.
3. However, the aim of the
video is to give the audience
their own vision, let them
imagine themselves being in
that film and how they’d
react in certain situations.
This helped pinpoint the
areas to think about in more
detail and to overcome any
setbacks.
31/10/22 Consumer Research From the Primary Research
found previously, this helped
with creating my consumer
research. The main target
audience for the service is
15-24 years old. As of right
now there is no primary age
or gender target, however
this questionnaire will
hopefully fulfil this void. I
asked specific questions on
the questionnaire. 100% of
the respondents said they
believe that creating a TikTok
page reviewing Disney would
become successful.
I would not change much on
the questionnaire as the
answers provided did help in
narrowing down the target
audience and help to what
they specifically wanted to
watch in the video and things
they wanted me to discuss.
31/10/22 Development of idea For this task, I created a mind
map and its format that
allows me to generate ideas
quicker and helps flow the
progression of the idea that
would give me the most. I
wouldn’t change anything to
the initial progress of the
mind map or the style.
However, I would make a list
under each subheading of
the main ideas I was aiming
for. Therefore, when I look
back on it to create assets,
the main points are clear and
4. in one place other than a
mindmap.
20/11/22 Pre-production planning For this task , I had to work
independently within finding
the right location , creating a
budget , working on the risk
assessment and finding the
right member to join me
when creating my TikTok
Video. I also had to use my
initiative in making the
schedule and budget. I made
sure I got all my filming done
in one day and If needed to I
would do any re-shoots if
anything had gone wrong.
This made sure it was a quick
and easy process to get the
video done and not run into
any problems as I was
running out of time. By
adding up all the money to
my budget I managed to
calculate the whole budget
that I would need to create
the video that was not too
over the top but fit the brief.
Following on from a location
recee and identifying risks. I
had to complete a risk
assessments in case of any
injuries of being on set whilst
filming. When creating this
Tiktok video there isn’t too
much to be worried agoutis it
was recorded in my own
home. The risk assessment
allows us to see how serious
an injury can be and the
possibility of it happening on
set. It then gives us the space
to offer solutions to the
problems faced at hand and
what existing solutions may
already be put in place for
that location. To ensure this
was all correct , I used my
independence to ensure all
risks where identified.
5. I then made a schedule for
the production. Creating the
schedule tested my self-
motivation skills as there was
a lot to plan and process.
Although I am passionate
about this project , I found it
hard to think ahead and
thinking about the worst
possible outcome. In the first
few weeks I created a script
for the video. This will not be
the whole script- it will be
based on the conversation.
This is given 2 weeks to get
done as there is a lot of
information I had to include.
After this the cast was found
for the production. I had to
find the right person to make
sure the video is engaging
and fits in with my target
audience. I made sure I had
enough time to reshoot if
needed. This made sure that
all the filming was done on
time. This then gave 4 days to
edit the whole production on
Adobe Premier Pro. I then
gave myself a contingency
plan in case anything did
need to be re-recorded.
09/12/22 Day of filming The day of the filming
process went well. I figured
out my location and where I
wanted to film. I had already
thought of a set-up in my
bedroom, and it fit very well
with the brief. With this
being said we did have a few
issues. This included the
camera going off and we
forgot where we’d come up
too. I then had to use my
problem solving skills to sort
this out. We ended up
carrying on as normal and it
ended out to be a very good
video. I managed to fit all the
