This document provides an index and portfolio of architectural works by Sakkas Athanasios, including student works, house and apartment designs, competition entries, and design projects. Some of the projects featured include an office building near Thessaloniki harbour, a public library in Thessaloniki, restoration of a monastery in Central Greece, a modern apartment in Larissa, and house renovations. Competition designs include projects in Athens, Norway, and Cyprus. Renderings are also shown for a hair salon, living room, bedroom, and sketches of a house design.
This presentation shows how one can use animation tools to illustrate concepts in the engineering filed. It is a old presentation in 2005. However, it contains some interesting concepts.

Mariana Curado Malta, a researcher working in the POSTDATA project of LINHD was invited to talk in the Universidad Carlos III of Madrid on the “Máster Universitario en Bibliotecas y Servicios de Información Digital “ in the topic “Vocabularios y Esquemas semánticos para la Web”. She presented the method for the development of metadata application profiles (Me4MAP) to the students and gave some examples of application of this method, one of these examples was POSTDATA and how the project team is elicitating the functional requirements and defining the domain model.

5. Office building near
Thessaloniki Harbour.
Design by Papadiamantopoulos V., Sakkas A.,
Toumpanakis P.
The building designed for a semester
work at year 2003. Its aim was to host several
uses such as restaurants, offices and at the last
floor our architectural office. The peculiarity is
that it is positioned just at the entrance of the
city in a building which has been used as a bor-
del and that it is one of the first buildings of
Thessaloniki constructed with metal columns.
The design of the principle established by the
one and only given. It should be applicable to a
construction project.

The building designed for a semester
work at year 2004. Its aim was to host a public
library. The peculiarity is that it is positioned
over ancient archaeological findings of par-
ticular importance for the city of Thessaloniki.

one and only given. It should be applicable to a
construction project.
10. A Monastery of Saint John the Baptist,
restoration - reuse.
Design by Sakkas A.
The monastery is located in the village Anatoli of Agia very near Larissa. Dated around 1500 BC and is typical for the region. Architectural
rhythm of the temple is simple without many morphological Features.Hampton rest monastery follows in the footsteps of all the region.
In the context of this thesis, since captured the building was designed as it found, then proposed new uses and redesigned to be functional

21. The dimensions of Theatrou square are quite small even for the 19th century standards. Τhe design area could be better understood as a closed square
or as the inner yard of a thematic outdoors superstructure. Βy investing to public equipment that focuses on rest areas the squares transform into a unity that
resembles a mall.
We propose a white mosaic to be used as the basic material for the public space, which is a reference to the high number of diverse cultural character-
istics found in the area. The oversized bumps refer to the neoclassical square gravels while the choice of the white color is made bearing in mind the need for a
ground that enlightens cultural differences while it transforms the kinaesthetic qualities of the whole area. The use of white aluminum at the facades targets of
each single building towards an urban unity that does not compete with the historical buildings nearby (Diplareios school). In a try to emphasize human scale,
pictures of theatrical plays that evolve around a table are applied via plastic coating to the window panes situated in the arcades. In order to enrich public space
the central space of the square is organized around an artifact (infodesk) of multiple uses and functions that is located over the ‘memory hole’, an archaeological
excavation that brings forth the ancient wall of Athens. The infodesk exists in the in-between the analog and digital as it functions both as a common meeting
or eating table and as a wi-fi spot and a station that offers historical info about the site of Theatrou square. The generic and simple design of the desk in the
middle of a theatrical-like scene functions also as a reminder of the rich history of the square.

The rehabilitation of the connection
between Flotmyr and the center by under-
grounding Karmsundgata, the extend of the
green axis and the grid, the construction of
a large square, surrounded by multiple uses
which is the first impression of someone who
visits the city by bus, the high density of the
area and the diversity of spaces, uses, possi-
bilities propose an integrated solution for the
present void of Haugesund, which will help
the center to become again a strong Regional
Centre and a vibrant Historic Centre.

25. Strategic Planning
All areas have direct access to the phys-
ical environment. The premises of the Hands
being museum occupy a C and opened to the
olive trees field, the Land (granary), thresh-
ing floor and alakati where one can learn act-
ing. The library and the café are placed on the
floor to take advantage of the pleasant views.
Accommodated with a second skin laminate
bearing bioclimatic characteristics.
The workshops take a while I have di-
rect access to the patio but also in a more pri-
vate courtyard scenario catering. The proximi-
ty to the patio, fouagietou museum and private
courtyard makes the space and independent
but also flexible.
Enter ramp for independent access to
the floor while nobody stepped driven from
inside the museum. In this peculiar amphi-
theater hosted news programs. Each site op-
erates independently from any other (coffee,
museum, library, laboratories, and a covered
outdoor amphitheater), enabling sustainable
operation through parallel events. The func-
tion of the building adapts and figures sub
events.
The atrium connecting all the above
areas as well as those of outdoor restaurant
on the hill becomes a theater events which
calls for operational investment. Lightweight
equipment downhill respects ogkoplasia but
also planting. The geometry of the surgery is
adapted to the natural data even data “hard” as
the bridge that connects the building with the
hill. small semi-open living bridge the patio
with courtyard and olive trees field.
