4. I strive to constantly communicate with parents throughout the school year. Often times this includes sending emails or postcards home, as well as detailed information about upcoming activities. 5. Utilizing a multitude of instructional strategies, I strive to constantly differentiate my instruction to meet the unique needs of the individual learners within my classroom. 6. The Kansas Performance Assessment is a written account of a multi-week teaching unit created and implemented by each new teacher in the state of Kansas. Grading is based on successful completion of 7 criterion identified by the Kansas State Department of Education as necessary for proper instruction. 11. Hands-on active learning activities are a staple in my classroom. I utilize a variety of instructional strategies to keep students engaged in our course objectives.
