To,
The Principal,
Sub: Application for the post of an English Teacher
Respected Sir/ Ma’am,
It is with great pleasure that I am seeking to secure a position for the above
positionwithin your school. I believe that my instructional abilities, combined with my strong interpersonal
skills and work ethics would greatly benefit your educational program.
“Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in
school.” - Albert Einstein. This expression forms the underlying foundation that essentially
defines my objective towards teaching. I believe that education is the key to success for young
students. I aim to provide a learning environment that stimulates students to trust their own opinions,
while fostering confidence.
Through my extensive teaching experience of 28 years so far, I have found the method of facilitating
rather than dictating, to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students construct
their own learning experiences they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more
confident in their abilities. Being devoted to this assertion confirms that I have made the right career
choice for myself. I hope to instil a love of learning and a desire for constant knowledge within each
student.
Other than teaching I’ve always encouraged my students to actively participate in co-curricular activities
such as elocution, dramatics, quizzes etc. for which they have won laurels. I am also actively involved
in training students of the school where I am presently teaching, in Speech and Drama in
affiliation with Trinity School of Speech and Drama, London.
My goals and vision for your school are:
∑ To continue the school’s strong tradition of excellence.
∑ To instruct a student holistically - including the student's intellectual, physical, social, moral, and
spiritual life.
∑ To make further progress toward the target goals for writing across the curriculum, oral
communication, and relevancy in education.
I welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss in greater detail how my qualifications
would best meet the needs of your educational program.
Please feel free to contact me at your own convenience.Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours Sincerely
