A polymer is a chemical compound where
large molecules are bonded together in
long repeating chains composed of many
repeated subunits.

12. Design project (Designing a
humidity sensor)
First, we poured
the mixture of
indicator,
polymer, and
solvent on a piece
of glass.
After that, we
placed the
polymer sheet
above water
vapor & took
observations.

13. Product idea (Baby born bracelet)
Our product is made specially for kids
to help parents to detect the body
temperature before getting sick.
Because the high temperature
destroyed brain cells .
For that, we choose a sensitive polymer that changes in
color along temperature & we found:

14. The Result
We found that “Polydiacetylenes” is the best
polymer for our idea because it’s sensitive,
cheap & easy to use.

We think that the temperature
bracelet would be useful for a
lot of people specially poor
people because it’s cheep &
easy to make.
