land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and

Activity 1 (Aesthetic Based Approach)
- 1. PLOT OF A SHORT STORY Plot is the literary element that describes how fictional stories are arranged chronologically. List of Vocabulary Fiction – novels, describing imaginary events and people. Chronology – the arrangement of events or dates in a sequence.
- 3. Exposition It refers to the part of the short story in which you are introduced to the characters and setting of the story.
- 4. RISING ACTION This stage will be focusing on the events occurred toward the conflict or problem in the story.
- 5. CLIMAX Climax is the turning point in a short story where the focus moves from the problem happened towards the solution.
- 6. FALLING ACTION Falling action will be focusing on the events involved in solving the identified problem.
- 7. RESOLUTION It refers to the stage of conclusion in the short story where the problem is solved or vice versa. It also creates an open-ended or close-ended resolution.
- 8. Exposition Rising Action: Opening of a story / background Events are focused around the conflict. Climax: Here’s a solution to my problem!! Carrying out the solution. Falling Action: Resolution All DONE!! PLOT DIAGRAM
