PLANETIZATION
Overview
Colonize solar systems, annihilate home worlds, and obliterate your foes in epic interplanetary
battles with multiple players and thousands of units. Planetization takes the RTS to a never-before-
seen scale -- and gives players powerful tools to control the action.
Control punishing spacecraft, powerful tanks, and an assortment of other futuristic machines of war
in epic battles across entire solar systems. Set up entire planets as bases and teleport your units
strategically into the heart of your foes’ strongholds. Or end matches with the mother of all
weapons: an asteroid on a collision course. Don’t just win, annihilate!
Planetization features a planet-based map system, different types of planets and asteroids. Players
will be able to conquer other planets and even entire systems on maps said to include "hundreds of
worlds," through the Galactic War. These planets are dynamic in that they can be 'annihilated' using
asteroids, which will be a major focus of the game.
Nowhere is this more the case than in Planetization. Not only will you need to busy yourself
providing effective air support for your tanks or making sure your precious artillery units are
cushioned and safe, you'll also have to pump out a constant stream of all these things, always
queuing up more build orders in your factories. If there isn't quite enough power or metal to do this
efficiently, you're just going to have to get your construction units to assemble more resource-
generating facilities.
If you don't have enough construction units, you'd better churn out a few more of those and, while
you're at it, make sure some of them are also building the larger factories which will, in time,
assemble the bigger, meaner units that could tip the balance in this arms race. Maybe. If you can
make enough of them.
The only competition that this game with have is Total annihilation and the civilisation series, these
two games are the only RTS games that are doing well in the market, or were. But because total
Annihilation is such an old game, and civilisation is so different from a space RTS game, I feel that
this game will do well in the market, as its target audience will be suited towards teenagers of any
gender and because of its different settings of difficulty will do well appealing to other ages above
and below the set target audience. Because this is the only new RTS game set in space and set about
conquering new planets, I feel like this also could be the unique selling point. Also another point
that makes this game from other games if the animations that come with landing and taking over
planets, Because of the new game engine itself, the animations are greatly improved from any other
game as it has a smooth transition between them, making the game have better frames per second,
and therefore being able to run on PC’s with a lower price range, able to play the game, so there will
be no one left behind, and everyone will be able to play without lag. Here are some of the new game
engine features:
Using our procedural planet generator, you will get new, unique and interesting play fields to wage

Funding
Rather than pursue investor funding I will choose to use the crowd-funding site Kickstarter for my
financial backing. I revealed the game to the public on August 15, 2014, with a Kickstarter funding
goal set at $900,000. The concept video used for the pledge campaign took approximately three
months to go from initial pencil-and-paper designs to final animation. Because kickstarter allows you
to have setting if people pay more than others, rewards will be offered for prices set over a certain
range, for example:
