Dividing a Line into Any Number of
Equal Divisions
Procedure :
1. Given, A Line.
2. Draw CAB at any angle.
3. Cut A1, 12, 23, 34 & 45 from AC at any length.
4. Connect 5B.
5. Draw parallel of 5B from 4, 3, 2 & 1.
6. They intersect AB at 1’, 2’ 3’ & 4’.
7. A1’, 1’2’, 2’3’ 3’4’ & 4’B are 5 equal parts.
Drawing a Regular Pentagon Inscribing
a Circle

Procedure:
1. Given, A circle
2. Determine point D just above O
3. Determine the mid point of radius ON, P
4. Cut PQ=PD
5. Cut DE=DQ
6. Now cut EA, AB, BC.
7. Connect EA, AB, BC.
Draw a Regular Hexagon
Procedure :
1. Given, Length- AB
2. Determine the mid point O. Draw a circle with R= OB & centre = O
3. Cut AF, FE, ED, DC, CB.
4. Connect AF, FE, ED, DC & CB.
Drawing an Ellipse by Parallelogram
Method
Procedure:
1. Given, Length of Major Axes & Minor Axes.
2. Draw major & minor axes with perpendicular to each other.
That is AB & CD
3. Draw parallel of AB from C & D, parallel of CD from A & B.
4. They will create EFGH rectangle.
5. Divide AB, EF & GH line into 8 equal parts.
6. Mark AE, AH & AE line with 1,2,3 & OB, FB & GB line with
4,5,6.
7. Connect C with the points of lines AE & BF. Similarly for D with
the points of lines AH & BG.
8. Draw lines from C & D through points of the lines AB up to to
the previously drawn lines.
9. Draw curve from the intersecting points.
