2. The Overview
• Target audience—the magazine I written in a format that appeals to most, but
mostly children between 10 and 4, and also their parent.
• Genre- Football within the North East
• What famous footballers will feature- Steph Houghton and Jill Scott
• The articles will be written in an informal and humorous format.
3. Front Cover
Here is the flat plan for the front cover. As you can see I
have gotten some inspiration from the Four Four Two front
cover. I like the kinds of images they have included,
therefore, I am trying to imitate it. I will include a list of
names of the footballing stars that are featured within the
magazine, trying to incise them into the reading it even
more. I want to use a very bold font for the masthead, in
order for it to stand out, like my inspirations one, it will
stretch across the width of the page, just highlighting the
importance more. The colour scheme will generally be
similar to the one on this presentation, basically using blue
and pink tones. Eye catching sell lines, action shots of
players and striking strapline swill all be used in order to
make the front cover look informative and exciting.

4. Elements of the Front Cover
Here is a few images from the Photoshop. I am still deciding on which one
to use, the only problem I have is that the the blue player is actually a
Man. City player, however, she is from the North East, so this could be
acceptable. I like the image of the goalkeeper, however, it doesn't’t involve
any action, making it seem quite boring. Above, is 3 fonts that I will
incorporate into the front cover. The ‘Big Noodle Titling’, will be used for
my masthead, as it’s similar to the four four Two one. The ‘PreCursive’ font
will make up the smaller text fonts as it is simple and not over eye
catching. A barcode will also feature on the front cover, to make the
magazine seem professional and realistic.
5. Contents Page
I am taking some inspiration from the Four Four Two and Match of
the day contents page’s for my final product. I believe their pages
are really informative, yet full of images and looking exciting.
‘Contents’ will be situated at the top o the page, to outline what
page it is and give it identity. I also want to include some good
social media links, and also website links, so that I can give
exposure to my other platforms. Instead of using many images that
have the same concept, I want to include landscape and portrait
images, that are slanted to make the page look quirky and bold. It’s
important to include vital information like the issue number an the
date, so that the reader knows if it’s recent or not. The main body
of text will be used to highlight my main articles and make them
sound appealing to the audience. I will also take up some space to
let the reader know some of the superstars that are featured within.
6. Contents Page Elements
Here are some elements of the contents page. As you can see I have included a selection of images that were
taken a number of local games around the north east. The two action shot are of players that feature at the
national women's league level as well as the national Vanarama league. I also took a picture of a football on a
football pitch, this is for the background. In order for the page to look professional I need to have a
background image, rather than a background colour, Once I edit the image, it will become blurred and not as
sharp, therefore, not taking away attention from the main elements of the page. I have also displayed 3 of the
mian fonts that will be s
7. Advertising Page
I am taking some inspiration from the David Beckham
advert for Bentley. I love the layout of the page, and how
it’s quite free flowing, making the background image the
most dominant and centre of attention. I want to include an
action shot of kids playing football from local football
schools. The sub-images I use will be their to express the
fact that the kids are all having fun and it’s a very positive
set-up to be around. I am going to include some vital
information about the company like contact details and the
social media links. I want to provide a small description of
their service they provide just to make the advert look
informative.
8. Advertising Elements
Here is some of the images, fonts and elements that I will include on the adverts
page. The main dominant image will be the either the goalkeeper or the girl in the
purple football kit. This is because they are very good action shot
and show off a lot of skill from the players. The other images will
be used in the collage at the bottom of the page. I also have
highlighted the social media links, as they will play a large part in
the readers taking the next step to apply for the footballing
school. The ‘Lemon Milk’ font will be used to make the important
information stand out and become a bold element of the page.
9. Article Page
Here is the plan for the article page that I am
going to create for the magazine. Although it
looks simple, I plan to make the page look really
effective and professional, with transparent text,
vibrant backgrounds and a shocking headline.
The background image will be an action shot of
the player being talked about. The sub image is
then going to be a picture of her playing football
years ago, suggesting how far she has come. I
need to include the website address so that I can
get more views on my website, giving me access
to another platform.

10. Article Elements
Calibri (Body)
Here is two images that I am going to incorporate into
article page, to highlight to career of the player. The
images are action shots that have really interesting and
humorous facial expressions on, which could draw the
reader in even more, as it suggests the article Is light
hearted. The font s that will use are all bold and simple
fonts, because I feel as though, if I use curvy and
elegant fonts, it will make the text harder to read,
therefore, I’m keeping it all simple and clear, in order for
it to be effective.
11. Billboard
• The billboard is going to be simple, yet effective. I plan to have a figure of a
footballer, coming off the billboard, lik some American ones. Making really eye
catching and quirky.

their, no excess information.
