Pitch analysis
Which pitch idea is your favourite and why?
Pitch 1 and 2 scored an
even amount of votes due to
the majority of people
mentioning how the
character they like is really
strong and how the plot can
be easily developed into an
interesting story. This
inspired us to combine both
elements of the pitches and
create one story.
Out of the three pitches, which do you think has the
strongest character and why?
Pitch 2 had an
overwhelming vote for the
strongest character. The
audience comment on how
they find it interesting that
she battles herself as it can
make her character
untrustworthy. This will add
to the thriller as she can
harm others and herself.
Do you think the plot of your favourite pitch is easy
to follow?
Everyone agrees that each
three pitches are easy to
follow. They say this as
there is a strong character
to follow around pitch 1 and
2 and the conflict is clear.
Due to this people will
understand our trailer as
long as it is filmed
effectively.
What aspect of your favourite pitch intrigues you
the most?
There are a range of
detailed answers to this
question. The most common
answers are the ones which
appear on the left. People
like the main character in
pitch 2 which is why we
decided to use that idea as
the film evolves around her.
With Pitch 1 the audience
agrees they like the sinister
aspect of it so we will add
that to our main plot
‘The story line’
‘The main protagonist’
‘Motivation of the protagonist, questioning the
reason behind it’
‘Villain's identity is unknown and their motive is also unknown -
this makes it more sinister (e.g. is he taking revenge? Is he
doing it just because he enjoys inflicting pain?)’
If you could change one aspect of your favourite
pitch, what would it be and why?
The audience have mainly suggested
we add more of a thriller aspect to
each of our pitches. Some said that
we should add in our main character
kidnapping family members to build
up more of a story which we could
add in. There was also the suggestion
that we should add a twist at the end
which we were thinking of doing as it
could give the audience a scare due
to our genre being psychological
thriller.
As a whole people believed we
should work on the kidnapping are
torcher area of pitch 2 to create more
of a scare.
