1. To Whom It May Concern:
I highly recommend Deb Davis as a candidate for an internship in mental
health counseling. I have worked with Deb since fall 2014. Deb was hired
as a para professional to work with students with special needs. Such
students include those with Downs Syndrome, autism, emotional
disturbance, orthopedic impairment, other health impairments, and learning
disabilities. Deb understands and respects the nature of her position.
Deb is quick to establish rapport with faculty and staff when she enters a
building. Her ability to connect with students is unique. Her calm nature
lends itself well to working with students with special needs. Deb is able to
address any situation with a clear, calm, and compassionate approach.
She is able to assist students in any classroom regardless of the content.
She has a clear understanding of what is expected both academically and
behaviorally of the students. She is successful when she must bridge the
gap for those with impairments that may not fully understand what is
expected. Deb is able to work independently and is able to follow through
to ensure that a job gets done. Deb gladly accepts any challenges that
come her way. Although independent, she is secure when asking for
guidance when handling delicate situations. Deb accomplishes daily tasks
with initiative and a positive attitude.
I recommend Deb Davis as a candidate for any internship in the mental
health counseling field. Please let me know if I can provide you with any
further information with regard to her qualifications.
