To Whom It May Concern,
Jacob’s Ladder Neurodevelopmental School and Therapy Center was founded on the principle that the human brain is an amazing instrument and that every child deserves to use it to its potential. It was at our school in Roswell, Georgia that I met your applicant, Lindsay West. She came in as a volunteer with a fantastic attitude, ability to learn and adapt quickly, and a passion and commitment to succeed and help others.
Our school focuses mainly on children with developmental delays such as ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Autism. It truly takes a special kind of person to dedicate their time with children with special needs; it takes compassion, hard work, and commitment. I believe that all three of these qualities are found within Lindsay.
As a volunteer, Lindsay assisted our teachers with their student’s gross motor activities on the mat, shadowed many of our teachers, and assisted teachers with sensory activities that strengthen connections throughout the brain. She also completed additional administrative tasks which required a high level of attention to detail and multitasking and is certainly always ready and eager to help when a team member needs anything. Lindsay truly wants to see the children succeed in all areas.
It is a true pleasure to have Lindsay within our school and I highly recommend her for any future positions within this field and out. High energy, a good attitude, and an apparent yearning for not only learning, but also applying her knowledge are just a few of her qualities that I believe will all develop into a wonderful and accomplished woman. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information.
Respectfully yours,
Amber McNeely
