  2. 2. CLIENT DESCRIPTION Susie 21 year old white female Student at the University of Mississippi with 2 semesters left  Major: Hospitality Management First time enrolled in EDHE (mandated client) Academic issues

ASSESSMENTS Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)  Personality type  Help me get a better understanding of client and give the client information she might not be aware of or thought about in this way Career Style Interview (CSI)  Opportunity to establish relationship with the client and get to know her on a different level.  Help client gain a new perspective on reasons for choosing, or not choosing, a specific career path

MEDICAL/DEVELOPMENTAL HISTORY No serious medical or developmental issues. Never been diagnosed with any psychological disorders. First time the client has seen a counselor and it is not by choice (mandated by EDHE). The client reported no history of her family members having any psychiatric issues.
  5. 5. SCHOOL/ACADEMIC HISTORY Client loves being a hospitality management major Reports that she has never had academic issues until last semester.  Stopped going to class  Didn’t study as much as she should have  Lots of trouble with Accounting
  6. 6. HOME BEHAVIOR/SOCIAL Family:  Client is very close with her family.  Client is the middle child- 1older sister, 1 younger brother.  Parents have been going through a divorce for the past 2 years.  Parent’s divorce had a very negative impact on client. She reports last semester her parent’s divorce became very nasty and in result, she became “kind of depressed.” However, client currently reports she is not depressed at all now and was just going through a hard time last year.  Maternal grandfather died last semester
  7. 7. HOME BEHAVIOR/SOCIAL Social:  Client reports she has a great group of friends that are very supportive and has a healthy social life. Work:  Client began working as a part-time receptionist about two weeks ago. She loves her job because it directly relates to her major.
  8. 8. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS CSI:  Client was very cooperative and gave more than enough information. The assessment was more of a conversation, rather than an interview.  Admires her mother  Enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Loves to play with her dog.  Favorite TV shows are “Say Yes to the Dress” and “Glee”  Liked English, Hated Math  Early recollections involved vacations with her family (very happy memories)
