Definition
 Photography is the art of capturing light with a camera, usually via a digital sensor or film, to create
an image. With the right camera equipment, you can even photograph wavelengths of light
invisible to the human eye, including UV, infrared, and radio.
 The word “photography” literally means “drawing with light”. The word was supposedly first coined
by the British scientist Sir John Herschel in 1839 from the Greek words phos, (genitive:
photos) meaning “light”, and graphe meaning “drawing or writing”.

 A person who takes photographs, especially as a job.
 Photographers are artists with the camera, using a blend of technical skills and an artistic eye to
take pictures of people, places, landscapes, food, you name it. Photographers can work as fine
artists, wedding and event photographers, or sell their photos to commercial clients.
